No way in hell we have all 3 of Trent/Ace/Nimari on the roster next year.

I'm not sure you should be saying that definitively. As long as Ayo leaves for the draft there are minutes to be had especially with Hutch being a huge question mark.

Curbelo/Burnett/Nimari could be our starting 1-3 two years from now.

Currently:
1. Belo, Hutch
2. Adam,
3. Jake, Goode
4. Hawk, BBV
5. Giorgi, Jermaine, Lieb
PG would be our depth problem but feel the best about the 3-4. Jermaine and Lieb unknowns at this point but believe Jermaine will be a serviceable defensive player and Giorgi was certainly middle of the pack center as a frosh. If we have Kofi, DaMonte and Trent return we are good at all positions.

Ayo is gone, he's ready! Kofi is gone, with his size and development he's gonna get an opportunity.

Praying to see Trent and DMW for one more year. I would think/hope that would only strengthen our position with NB having that much more talent to play with. Those two returning will hardly take away from him seeing serious minutes immediately.

Sorry to disagree, but I like Curbelo at point, unless you are talking about depth, in which case, hoping for a xfer as back up.
If you are a transfer, do you want to come in knowing you will be the backup? Going to be a hard sell to someone! TF, we shall see you next year!

Huh? Coaching is about wins and losses, not how many players you can develop. At some point, these guys will have to move on... At some point. He has a really good team. Why on Earth wouldn't he want them to move on before they have to? It isn't as though there are always a bunch of 5 stars lined up to go to Madison. The Wisconsin formula is built on veteran players.

Normally I'd agree but Wisconsin's seniors are all good players but are those guys that can really take them to the next level. Trice is really the only guy that I think sniffs 1st Team All-B10. Also recruiting for them would get royally messed up if 3 or more of those guys return wouldn't it?

From what I keep hearing it wasn't about playing time as much as being mislead with the situation with Mcclung (and they got another guy too late I believe) after being told he was being handed the keys to the car.

For some kids once you've been lied to and the trust is gone there is no coming back from that.

I wasn't referencing NB per se, transfers in general usually expect to start right away, especially upperclassmen

Ayo is gone. There’s a very real chance Kofi comes back

My internet sleuthing learned the following:

Originally from Colombia and came to the US not speaking much English - OA's Latin American roots here should plus if we want him. He and has apparently bounced around to 3 different prep schools since arriving in the US a year and half ago. Long, athletic, and physical; thought raw, and still really learning and developing a feel for the game.

As a prospect, he sounds like he is somewhere between Freshman Kofi and Freshman Hamlin in terms of potential.

The video of him looks very athletic and nothing like what we currently have on roster at the 6'8" to 6'10" range
Agree. Looks physically ready and dunks with authorita (not that we don't have someone currently on the roster who does that, just noting it as a major plus).

Man I want a commit. Not enough action around here!

Also, regardless of if DMW or Trent come back, I like our core next year. Curbelo, Ace (who will definitely be back at this point, he needs some time to mature his game), senior Giorgi, Grandison and Hawkins is plenty to compete in conference. Really hope people stop assuming Hutch will be a contributor. Him and BBV are too unknown right now. Think Goode will step in and contribute right away too. We’ll need his shooting.
