Speaking about SIU-C, Jordan Caroline would like to come home!! Doesn't everybody??:)

Dang, I had no idea he was so good at Nevada. He's putting up Josh Cunningham numbers.

Is he a 4th year junior? If so, bring him home!

I would love to have Josh Cunnigham, Jordan Caroline, Ayo and Jacobs to finalize the class....6'7, 6-7, 6-5, 6-3 added to Frazier/Smith/Williams/Black/Nichols and that would be a pretty potent rotation in and out mixed with different talents for next year.

And yes I do believe we will have at least 2 players leave next year. I won't guess, but I would say 1 guard, 1 wing, and possibly a big.:chief:

That is a great group of players, no doubt. But that class is still incomplete without somebody that can protect the rim and guard big dudes.

Cunningham, Caroline, and Black seem to be pretty similar in many ways. And unfortunately, one similarity they all share is the inability to really defend the rim in this league.

I'd love to have Cunningham or Caroline, but we probably don't need both (unless more kids than we had originally thought end up transferring and we have a bunch of open spots).

I actually think with the athleticism of Black/Cunningham and the athletic brute force of Caroline, we would be fine. Overall most teams aren't 6-10/7-0 inside anyway?

With all the names that keep popping up. It is pretty clear the coaching staff knows they have to get more athletic. I like the idea of players that can actually move there feet instead of the one's we have now.

Lately, because of who we have, I have disregarded any other guards. While I still thinks at least one banger is necessary, a guy like Jacobs looks like an upgrade in athleticism and attitude...in a positive way. If he and Ayo play well together, bring him on.

This notion that the team is lousy with high caliber BIG 10 guards is not reality. If you don’t think this coaching staff sees that we need help everywhere I think you are kidding yourself. There will be roster turnover at a high level over the next couple of years. We need help everywhere. Some of the young guards will develop and some won’t. Keep bringing in high level competition.

Well, that's part of what I mean. It took this year to see that having a stable of guards doesn't mean having a stable of the ones you need. Part of the belief stems from the Groce era, where we desperately needed guards. With so many signing on, it was easy to think we had that problem licked. Now we see that, regardless of position, we need better athletes.

Dang. He put up 26 pts and 11 boards tonight versus SDSU. Yeah, I think we could've used that.

I have no idea on whether or not the Caroline recruitiment has legs or not, but if it does all the credit in the world goes to Whitman. He has done a great job in reaching out to the former stars, including Caroline's Dad. Whitman also deserves most of the credit for salvaging the Frazier recruitment. Bringing back Deron was bigger than most realize. Go Josh!!

Sorry if this has already been posted. I don't remember that it had but then my memory is not my strong suit anymore. I also did search a little. Anyway, Bryan Penn-Johnson narrowed his schools to Washington and DePaul.

Maybe y’all already knew this, but Jordan Caroline is the son of Simeon Rice and grandson of JC Caroline. That was news to me :)

Is there any indication at all that he's interested in transferring?

I mean, he seems to be doing really well for a top-25 Nevada team. Presumably, he could come back to Nevada for another year and have a monster season. Why would he leave?

I can understand Cunningham transferring considering Dayton had a coaching change. But Caroline?

Eric Musselman was considering leaving Nevada after last season, but there weren't any HM jobs open that suited him. His stock will most likely be even higher this year.

I believe Musselmen came up when Weber was fired. Our AD at the time seemed more comfortable with mid major coaches from Ohio.
