Admittedly I know nothing, but whatever slim chance we may have had with Rako would be gone I'd think if the reports about Cal showing interest are true. Isn't it well known that he wants to get far away for college? California is far away, nice weather, and has been recruiting some good classes

Anyone think KeithbFrazier will be available immediately next season? I wouldn't mind having his talent of the team, but I'm not sure if the baggage will outweigh the positives he could bring.

I'd still rather have a healthy TA than KF. TJL is going to have two veteran leaders to learn from with is invaluable.

Miami stayed in on him even when he was stinking up AAU gyms this spring and summer. I would also imagine having games like today at a prestigious national tournament will draw even more schools that fit his criteria. So whether we are or aren't recruiting him I wouldn't expect to see him in Champaign any time soon.
Although those odds are probably better than seeing Keith Frazier there. :)

No, he's going to have to sit out a full season and unless he picks a school pretty quickly it's looking like he might not be able to play until 2017-8?

Thanks WVC, and isn't there a rule for kids who want to transfer away from an institution with post season bans to be able to play immediately?

This was discussed earlier, but the NCAA didn't announce the sanctions until after classes had started. And deciding to transfer in the middle of the season probably doesn't buy him any goodwill, either.

Second game at Springfield MA Hoop Hall was a classic. St. Francis (GA) with Kobi Simmons (who just announced for Arizona) scoring 34 beat Lone Peak (UT) with Frank Jackson (Duke) scoring 49, 94-92 in double OT. Buzzer beater by St. F for the win.

I know the kid can score but what's his game? I've been off the recruiting grid with these recent classes.

Also, this has to have positive effect with Tilmon right?

Do you think this helps or hurts our chances with Jordan Goodwin? They are from the same town but play the same position.

My thoughts as well when I first heard it. Sounds like he's having a break out year right now though. Even if he does improve can't see his ranking going up that much since he committed early. I do like that he's close with Tilmon and Goodwin.

+1, strange that a guy is averaging 24 (or is it 29? I've read two #s) and isn't being heavily recruited by other P5s... what gives?

He took that next step this season and has improved his motor and consistency. Most Illinois scouting services now say he's a top 5 state talent for 2017. He's started to pick up interest from Xavier and Northwestern. This kid is no where near his ceiling and already is averaging 24, I think that speaks volume of what he can develop into.
