Yeah, but it's Alford. And an underachieving Alford at that. I don't know what recruits like about that louse.

I would say to an impartial observer, say any college BB fan that isn't a fan of Illinois or UCLA, they would say Alford is a more accomplished coach than Groce.

People who haven't spent much time on the West Coast have a hard time understanding how big of a deal USC football and UCLA basketball are in the whole Pacific time zone.

There is UNC-type reverence for that program, and their recruiting has always reflected that.

I live in NoCal and I'd say that reverence is more limited to SoCal, which is a tremendous recruiting area. Cal and Stanford dominate up here, but pro sports are much, much more important.

I think people who haven't been to the UCLA or USC campuses also have a hard time understanding the attraction of those schools. Both are pretty easy to recruit to. BTW, I've always thought Cal was the sleeping giant of college football and basketball - it should be an incredibly easy place to recruit to.

And of course you know how Oregonians feel about Californians... ;)

Would take him in a heartbeat, especially w/ the Goodwin situation in flux and Lewis off the board. Kid can ball! I would be 100% happy with Frazier, Kigab, and Kiir rounding out this class.

Don't get too excited. He is a real long shot with everyone predicting he will go to Oregon. But he at least has scheduled an official visit with us, which is more than what could be said for our top target at this point.

Why wouldn't Goodwin take his official visits regardless? His handlers are worried that he will make an emotional decision to commit somewhere they don't want him to? What other reason could there be, especially with the decision so late?

I haven't spent much time there, but I understand the pull the LA area has. Beaches, girls in bikinis, beautiful scenery, pretty big spotlight. Haven't even gotten to the basketball part yet.

I can still go on vacation for all these things right?

Reading on a high school website and they are discussing how good estl will be with tilmon back. Can anyone confirm this.

He's staying at LaLu. They will prepare him for college the best. ESL won't do that, and plus, him at LaLu helps his grades immensely. Not that we were gonna have to worry about that anyways.

So Hendrickson, who apparently does this for a living, just realized that AAU/club coaches serve as marketing mouthpieces for their players!?!?

I think he's more like telling players believe what is happening to you, not what your AAU coaches are saying about you. Of course they are going to talk up their players, they should, but by now, if you aren't hearing from the colleges you think you should be, it's probably not going to happen. Lower your sights a bit to D-2 or D-3.

Omg Goodwin just tweeted about a key. They are giving him the key to the city of St Louis. He is gone who wouldn't want a key to the city. This is sarcasm btw just figured someone would freak out about his tweet
