If he falls to us, who cares? Worked out rather well with DWill. Smith can be our backup plan for Wilkes, lol.

Yea exactly, options seem to be drying up. If it is Xavier, IU, Stanford in front of us...according to Verbal commits:
.. Xavier has 2 openings & has taken 2 SG/1 SF...with Eastern, Scruggs, Wilkes, plus others on there offer sheets.
...Stanford has 2 openings, 1 commit at SF already, 8 offers out there spread across positions...guessing they still want Smith, but looks like they could use a PG & big (sounds familiar) & they have a highly ranked SG listed with an offer
...IU technically is full & Smith is likely behind both Wilkes/Scruggs/others

Seems like we could get lucky with Smith.

September 10 – Indiana Hoosiers (Official)
September 17 – Villanova Wildcats (Official)
September 30 – Stanford Cardinal (Official)

What a depressing sentiment, to feel like self confidence is delusional. My comments were about the collective mindset. 'We are the prize' was meant to be representative of that mindset. I am well aware of our misfortunes over the last decade, but to tremble at the thought of being involved in a recruitment with a blue blood, much less to pee ourselves over SLU potentially talking to a recruit of ours who has not said a thing to indicate interest in any other school, is WEAK!

I repeat... We are the prize! I would guess more successful athletes, coaches, or people in general share that mindset regardless past failures, than those who say it's delusional to believe in yourself.

This would not be luck...don't forget Smith has been to C/U 3 times in the last 14 months. I didn't keep exact track but somebody from staff saw Smith as much as any recruit this AAU season.
Next rumor...look for Eastern to maybe be tied in somehow.:)

Have to make room for Wilkes, Scruggs and Kiir. lol

One thing's for sure, it will be very interesting how the rest of this class shakes out.

BTW, with Tilmon leaving LaLu, does our pipeline wither?

You'd have to ask Tilmon. But it is home. His family. His squeeze? His friends. Adoring minions. Probably myriad reasons.

Am really not looking forward to the Nervous Nellies saying this is a bad sign. Really!

Just talked again with my source and was told Tillmon more than likely opening up his recruitment saying he thinks it was a rushed decision

Stop guessing.....putting way to much into Tilmon and Goodwins relationship...not as close as some make it out to be.
