One of the box scores didn't include field goal stats, so based on 4 games Goodwin shot 46.1% from the field, but only 1-4 from 3pt range.

Got to imagine this performance lands him in the top-50 next time the major services update their rankings.

I have read numerous post about how goodwin is a winner, won't let his team lose, wills his team to victory, etc. This record shows how critical interior play is and JG had better get some. As good as Goodwin is, he can't will a team to victory against this level without interior help. With Thorne and Morgan being seniors, it is critical that at least two interior 17's are landed. Unfortunately they will be needed as freshmen and I just don't see any of the recruits coming in that first year and providing enough.

A correction to my last post from last night. The Final 8 games start at 12 Eastern time. So it'll be 11 for us midwesterners and so on. Really didn't expect MS to be in the Championship bracket and doubt they can beat MOKAN but since they came here with a 9-7 record on the circuit, I think they did real well at North Augusta. Not sure what happened to the Eagles. I know they didn't have Tilmon, but they didn't have him during the spring and still went 12-4 and were seeded 6th out of the 24 teams that qualified for Peach Jam. Guess that's why they play the games.

What's the reason for people saying we have cooled on Lewis or vice versa? All I've seen is he didn't say our name in an interview. Is that it?

2 recent (6/26) CB's to Iowa State (including local WI writer and Jerry Meyer) plus new offers from GT and UNLV plus interest from Auburn would indicate that the staff is feeling better about someone better and has given Lewis the go ahead to look elsewhere. Just my opinion.

Not sure where the Canadian NIT is, also not sure who or if anybody is sticking around Peach Jam, although I would think someone is since we have 3 recruits playing for MS (2 actually since I think you'd need a machete to get past Izzo and near Bowen.)

Ford has literally been wasting the University's time and money for 3 years on this Canadian pipeline dream. He needs to go man. I wonder how he's convinced Groce this is the best strategy when it has bore virtually nothing.

Stuck around in the first half, got blown out in the 2nd. Porter, Young and Gordon on the same team is pretty awesome.

Porter is so good it's silly. Seeing him against Bowen was interesting to me: They're only separated by about 10 spots in the rankings, but there's a big difference in terms of how mature their games are. With Porter, you just feel like you're watching a sure fire NBA lottery talent.

You do realize he recruits more than just Canada right? I don't understand the hate for Ford at all, i feel like Illinois fans are misguided a bit about which roles some assistants actually do.
