You've made your opinion known many times on both boards. It's my opinion that he's better than Williams, Jordan and Nichols. We'll have to revisit this discussion in 2-3 years. Loser buys the winner a drink. Also I usually agree with you and I'm a bit biased because he's a great kid who's overcome a lot
Im gonna have to agree with Combes on this one. Ive seen Negron and have never been impressed. He would be last on the bench right now and I would be surprised if that ever changed. He should go somewhere that he can get pt because it wont be here.
I don't think I have talked about Negron much at all. My point is that he is a 4 and not a 3. I don't doubt that he is a great kid. I wish him all the best and will gladly admit that I was wrong if he turns out to be better than those three. I have been wrong many times over the years. I think his comparison should be more to Black and Finke, though.
That's one heck of a projection for a 3 star project that hasn't even laced up for his senior season.

I'd really prefer us not to fill our last scholarship with anything other than a 5th year big. I want Goodwin and Frazier to round this class out. Only exception for me to add another would be if Scruggs makes it to us or we can get a true highly touted PF. Class balance is not something we have been very good at these last 4 years.
Get a top 5 class this year, have a solid season, then sign a highly touted 5 star for our only slot in '18 and keep the recruiting mo going.
I'm sure others may disagree. Just my 2 cents.

No gauntlet and he doesn't have to say no to any of them. He just has to continue to stay uncommitted. Not going to get excited 'til he takes his OV. But if he does, we very well may be in this thing.

Great to get Scruggs on campus. Still seems like a very long shot, but whenever we can get a kid on campus, we have a shot.

I agree, bc by then Frazier would have come and gone without committing to us and Scruggs will have come and gone through his "seemingly" first choices without committing to any of them either.
Or it could just be a courtesy visit. I don't know, but we have been there since the beginning and he has a very good relationship with Groce. Both reasons to believe we have a real shot or it's a courtesy visit.
But I'm guessing Scruggs doesn't make it to campus if Frazier commits.

I highly doubt anything Frazier does impacts Scruggs. If Scruggs committed here, then that is going to have a big impact on Frazier's decision, but if Frazier were to commit here first, not sure it moves the needle one way or another on Scruggs decision regarding us.
Scruggs is our starting PG his Freshman year if he were to commit, with or without Frazier. And that isn't a knock on Frazier, its a nod to Scruggs.
I think it would definitely hurt Mizzou's chances and help SLU's. The question is, was SLU already favored over Mizzou? If so, it could be concerning for ILL.
