Kris Wilkes top 11 schools: Indiana, Xavier, Butler, UCLA, Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Washington, Arizona, UConn.

Not sure he makes anymore officials after Illinois. Considering they are all pretty far, I don't even think he schedules anybody besides Illinois and Georgia. Don't fault him for playing the game, since Illinois is still recruiting other PG options.

OTOH, he can end it during or shortly after his OV.

Touché, despite being a top 30 guy, Tilmon isn't a guy who had to wait long in and pass up on other guys for. In this case, going for the top 30 guy wasn't as risky and low probability as is typical.

Same AAU program as Scruggs.

Yeah I knew that. Knew we offered both around same time....just seemed like we've heard about Scruggs reciprocating interest back to us, and not Wilkes, until now that is.

I don't know squat (theme of my life...lol), but 99% our inclusion on Wilkes' list is courtesy. Not earth shattering, he's not coming here. Highly doubt we'll get an OV. If we do, I recant.

Don't be so sure of that. Walker has done a great job, and is in deep with him. But Illinois still trails UNC and ucla

SLU coach Travis Ford sure is re-tweeting several tweets about one #illini priority target a lot since the new rules went into effect.

Yeah, I am curious what makes you say it is courtesy? Does he owe us courtesy? Are any other teams on his list also just courtesy? Why wasn't he so courteous to other teams who were left out?

I am actually curious if you have some insight or reason as to why you think it is courtesy to us.

Any insight into what the "new rules" mean? I'm not as up-to-date on recruiting rule changes as others. Thanks in advance!

Because we've been recruiting him for a long time. Think we're on the outside looking in on this one. That is all. DKS.

IOW, we made his Top 11. Big whoop.

No kidding. Top 3 or 4, I might get excited. Top 11 is better than 0% chance, but in this case, not that much better.

So his top 1 is better? ;)

The good news (for me at least) is that we have a shot with a lot of talent that I didn't think we we had a shot with. :)

NW was on Jabari Parker's top 10 list. Illinois made Jahlil Okafor's top 10. Neither team had a shot at those players. Get an official visit and things are a little different.

Walker has done a great job with Wilkes. Do not be surprised if we do get an OV; albeit, landing him is a long shot, but it's a possibility

comment line to the Werner tweet IlliniBrave75 posted. Looks like Kedric Prince hasn't been paying attention.

@JWernerScout i really hope we don't lose Goodwin to SLU and Frazier to Georgia...both close to home... #ILLINI

@LukeWileyPhD @JWernerScout Not so much worried about SLU, I would be concerned with Missouri due to AAU coaches on staff.
