anyone know when the official visits are starting this weekend? Friday/Saturday? AM/PM?

Official visits are limited to 48 hours so they'll start sometime Friday (normally afternoon) then they'll end on Sunday by whatever time it started on Friday.

2pm Friday to 2pm Sunday for example.

Yeah that's ugly. I think people underrate how incredible Kansas's campus and that facility specifically for basketball players are.

The campus, the facilities, the level of competition, the opportunities, the exposure the connections of the staff, all of that.
And let's not forget when it comes to big guys, look at the track record of getting them to the NBA or other professional basketball.

LOL. Sadly, it also points out the difference between them and us. They get a burger boy that turns out to be a head case and no big deal. We get one like that and it becomes "see what happens when a talented kid goes to Illinois". Neither kid is very representative of their respective programs in reality. Hoping BU can change that negative narrative that you know other coaches are using against us.

Sure. They could do any time that they want but I think most teams are going to want to do their traditional Fri-Sun visit schedule, especially with college football starting and also so the coaches can enjoy a little time with their family on Monday. It also helps the recruit since they're likely taking multiple visits in quick succession so it's one more day to be at home with school and pre-season practice before leaving again, plus it helps maintain a routine for them.

Wonder if BU is going to continue the pancake house tradition.....

"I just want to fit in and be a ball player and not have a certain position"

Cryptic silent verbal referencing position-less basketball??

No, but very telling nonetheless. EJ will be an illini. Pretty confident in that.

According to Scout, here’s what Conditt had to say about Antigua’s recruitment of him:

"Talks have been going really good, especially with Coach Orlando. He just motivates me all the time," Conditt said. "They want me to be great. That's the main thing. Be great. Be in your state. And have fun."

You can read the full article here:

"Also, don’t forget about Greg Eboigbodin, who has made his commitment to the program, but has not signed his letter of intent yet." from article above

Isn't this because you cannot sign 2 LOI?

Just a question - is an LOI a required document to get a scholarship, play basketball, and be a student at a university? Since Ebo is already on-board at UI, it would appear not, unless it can maybe be signed retro-actively or is even needed.

No he just needs to sign a financial aid agreement. Some of the biggest names don't ever sign the LOI so they aren't locked into a particular school.

No you can't. And its very strange for the author to be bringing up letters of intent for players on the roster when they are already enrolled and classes have begun.

Agreed. I was not impressed by the article. Appears to be something that one of us could have written off of information found on this board and twitter.

I haven't seen this yet but if already posted I apologize.

Conditt sets visit day for Sept. 15. Official visit

Iowa State Sep. 2

New Mexico Sep. 29

Conditt is a big time Iowa State legacy. His Dad was a FB star there in the early 90's. His Dad cried when he got the ISU offer. They've been to Ames twice this summer. He must be waiting for the B1G and closer to home!!:)
p.s. He heads to ISU this weekend.

Time for Conditt to make his own legacy at Illinois. Would understand the push for ISU due to family ties. It worked out great for Marrow who attended Simeon and then went to Nebraska to continue the legacy. Which school did he just transfer to?

Did not know that. Good info, thanks. Food for thought for those thinking Conditt's in the bag.

I think we have great sell for bigs. Whether they say it or not, big guys wanna handle, drive and shoot 3s like guards. Well guess what, BU wants you to do it too, so you'll actually develop those skills and get to use them in our offense. Oh, and icing on the cake, Antigua will coach you, have you heard of the bigs he's been around?

Why? Did he get a paper cut?

Could not agree more. Kids will see this season why it will be very fun to play in BU's system.
