OK, let's suppose you could pick any 3 from the following players and they would sign. Who do you choose ? Just for the fun of it, pick a 4th in case someone would transfer out.

Ayo, Conditt, Castleton, Sow, Stewart, THT, Finke, De Sousa, Hellems, Ignas, Pearson, Hinton

I mean is it even a contest that you would pick Ayo, De Sousa, and Ignas?

So likelihood of an Ayo/Conditt/Finke class? Best case scenario or better projections that are more likely?

I'd be thrilled. Too many around here have soured on Finke after one tournament. All prisoners of the moment. Finke was a must get for so many and we were going to battle KU for him and now so many have jumped ship. Ignore rankings drops. He's a good one.

Hmmm. Illinois is the only northern school on that list.

Well early returns have Ayo and De Sousa leading but not many precincts reporting yet. We're in for a long night.

Definitely not best case scenario but I'm sure everyone here would gladly take it.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised with any mix of the below players

Conditt vs Castleton vs Sow are going to be the main 3 we see at the 5 spot with Castleton vs Conditt seeming to be who most people prefer. (Not including De Sousa bc there doesn't seem to be much there right now but obviously he would be the top choice

if your talking about the 5 I would take Sow or the other 2, but myself I would take 2 of the 3 heck I would take 2 out of the 4 adding in the kid from MP. Both Conditt vs Castleton shot the ball well enough from outside to play along side sow, with 3 guard types. adding 2 bigs that can do more then just stand under the basket to go along with the 2 we added this year would not be a bad thing at all. Then go after EJ and Okoro for 19. If the Goal is to be able to run up and down the floor and score in 7 sec, why not be able to do it with guys over 6-7 rather then guys 6-5 and under lol

Ayo, Stewart, and Finke. Plus add in either Conditt/Sow/Castleton and you have a class.

Truly believe that we will take 4 for '18. Staff knows what they're doing.

I think so as well, so I would take Ayo, Stewart and any 2 out of Conditt/Sow/Castleton/Pearson

Whos to say if we don't get Finke we don't loss Finke to Grad Transfer to play a year where his brother goes, or maybe Black wants to move on. if we have a chance to add size that can get up and down the court why pass it up

and maybe just maybe if we add Ayo and Pearson it really ups our chances to land Whitney

Oh man, a 2019-20 roster that could have Mark Smith, healthy DaMonte, Trent, Ayo, Whitney, Stewart at the guard/wings and Conditt, Ebo, Okoro, Vessel, Castleton, Ledell would not only be a Big Ten contender but maybe a team that could do some SERIOUS damage in March. *finishes kool-aid*

From Morgan Park's Ayo Dosunmu & Simeon's Talen Horton-Tucker to every other senior prospect in Illinois, there is such a large gap.

While I believe it will/should change, the fact Talen Horton-Tucker hasn't been top 100 player while others in Illinois are is pretty crazy.

Ayo, De Sousa, Ignas... throw in Stewart if a guard transfers out. Only problem is that none of the initial 3 guys are staying four years.

It seems that #31 cannot match up with the #12 in black
Pearson had trouble all through EYBL when matched up with d1 prospects, to the point he was rarely on the screen at the same time guys like Bagley, Cockburn, Reddish and Sow were. I know I complained on here all spring about MIF using their Morgan Park guys --Pearson, Burrell- and a 300 pound immobile guy -Williams- from Ohio for their 'bigs'. Not to say he can't get better and be better if he puts on weight, but Pearson is either a long term project or a mid-major. A 6-10 guy averaging 6/5 in EYBL is usually a mid major talent.
But if it gets us Ayo, worth at least offering I guess.

If De Sousa ends up at UI, I will learn how to do a backflip, and then do backflips.

I know. But being as those picks were just for fun --- Although I wouldn't be upset if they could land Sow and he's probably slightly more obtainable than De Sousa. From what I've read I have a bad feeling we may see De Sousa at SFC but in a Maryland uni.

Yeah, seems like Maryland/UA is the team to beat. That said ...

We didn't hire Antigua to get 100+ ranked recruits. You can put Chin in the same category.

I mean, yeah, I hope OA/Chin end up getting all 5* studs to sign with UI. :thumb:
