Griffin on Iowa State's recruitment:

“They made me feel like a big priority,” Griffin said. “ . . . Coach Prohm . . . told me there’s a difference between need and want and he was like, they need me and they want me. It was kind of making me feel like a priority."

Griffin has already lined up four of his five official visits beginning Aug. 25 and running through the weekends in September. While he isn’t ready to reveal where those visits will be, his list of schools is firming up.

“It’s going to be kind of hard to accept new schools. If there’s a school that I’ve liked, one of my dream schools, I’ll re-open, but it’s going to be kind of hard to build that relationship late,” Griffin said. “. . . After I take my officials, if one of the schools that I’ve already got my eye on, if they basically show me that I’m a bigger priority than what they’re saying, then I’m going to make my decision toward the end of September or start of October, one of those.”
