Why can't we have both! (cue cute clip). Just to be clear, I don't want THT more than Ayo.

That brings us to Tre Jones, Darius Garland, Ayo Dosunmu, Devon Dotson and David Duke. Dosunmu and Dotson are likely to go through a few visits, keeping them on the market a bit longer.
Georgia, Clemson among programs pursuing breakout star Ngumezi
One of the major breakout performers of the second July recruiting period in the Atlanta area was Amanze Ngumezi from 1 Family. The 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward showed off his perimeter skills with his jump shot and handle, but he also dominated on the block and threw down some ridiculous dunks.
Quite a few schools took notice of his ability. Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech came in with scholarship offers this weekend. Clemson, South Florida, Wichita State, Florida Gulf Coast, UAB and UMass had offered prior to this weekend.

Would love to see NW tears up the relationship with MIF for signing THT

If THT comes here I would defend his build, but now I stick to my initial evaluation that it is more "meh" than "wow" for high level basketball. It is ok to pass a Walmart Draymond Green especially given his issue with Ayo or Ayo's team.
THT is not a walmart anything, he will excel in college and will help whatever team he is on. Kid is the total package.
This. Especially, in a wide open, fast offense. Smaller guys can't guard him, most taller guys he'll get around. He's dynamite going to the hole. At this point, it's hard to see why people doubt him, but that's a dwindling group.
Interesting that I go on other team's boards that are recruiting THT, I go on other Illinois boards, I talk to a couple guys I know who know people involved in basketball in Chicago and the only place I hear that THT wants to be 'the man' wherever he goes is on here. Anybody got any sources for that beyond 'word on the street'? I have no idea where he's going to end up but I'm pretty sure wherever he goes it won't be because he's asking to be the 'the man'.

I'm glad you wrote this. You seem levelheaded and rational with a slight obsession about the recruiting scene. And I mean obsession in a good way, especially for our purposes here.
I've often wondered what your thoughts were on the narratives formed through hearsay and taken by gospel by the crazies on this board to rationalize how things may or may or may not appear to going in on a particular prospect. Especially when most of the hard data comes from your "scouting" or links you have provided.
We need just one domino to fall to get things rolling. That domino is Ayo. He commits and others will follow suit. Look at what has happened at Indiana and Mississippi State as references. Also please remind yourselves that unfortunately we have been a losing program for a decade and BU only has so much to sell. We won't get major classes until we prove to be an exiting program. Until then, we all need to have confidence in the evaluations our staff makes for projected targets. Remember how Trey Burke, Aaron Kraft, Robbie Hummel, etc. we're all 3-stars? You get the right players for your system, and have competent coaching and you will have success. TRUST. THE. PROCESS!!!
Kid in our backyard...haven't heard much about him until lately!
MIDWEST HIGH MAJORS NEED TO BE SURE TO SEE ZION GRIFFIN
After watching him play in the Hardwood Classic, Iowa State was quick to offer a scholarship to new-to-the-radar recruit Zion Griffin. I don't think they'll be the last Big 12 program to offer and I'm betting Big Ten programs get in on the action as well.
If I am a coach at a high major program in the Midwest, I'm making it a priority to get somebody on my staff out to Kansas this week to evaluate the high flying and tough lefty wing at the Sunflower Showdown.
Maybe Griffin's breakout performance at the Hardwood was the weekend of his life, but if it wasn't he's a guy that I would want to be very sure about before passing up on him. Consider this, when given the chance to play against Nike EYBL powers Howard Pulley and Boo Williams, Griffin went for 42 and 31 points. That type of production against high level grassroots competition is awfully tough to ignore and because of that Griffin deserves more looks.
