Kofi was a top 50, bonafide 4 star prospect. Obviously he's exceeded our wildest dreams, but calling him a 3 star out of HS is selling him a bit short.
This is all true but after watching his High School games that were on ESPN i think most on here agreed he had a long way to go. Its truly shocking how much he has improved in all facets. If im the coaches im telling recruits to look at his HS tape and look at him now to show the development.

We’re gonna get him on the boat and beat him with an oar...wait...am I working the same pun

Pun? 🤔 🤷‍♂️

Interest among recruits really seems to be scaling up - feels like we're up to our gills with new names. So much more fun than with prior regimes, where it always felt like we were swimming against the current.

Is there anyone you'd be gutted to not land?

Nice. They'd be taking him over Schutt. Staff must be sky high on Bass.

Not gonna lie, I love that he's an Indiana kid.

I can't say I agree with this. Looks like a long PG to me and Schutt, while quite the talent, isn't a point guard at the next level.

It'd be hard to fully ascertain the scholarship numbers in that class until we actually fill this one. Roster turnover is going to be so crazy from here on out (and it already was before that).

Yeah, upon further review, there are myriad recruiting possibilities. Too early to make a definitive statement like I did.

Also, after seeing a few of Bass' clips, it's pretty clear he's a combo. Kid has good handles (for HS and his size). I wonder why he slid? Just to be clear, I don't consider his current rankings to be any kind of a red flag at all. If staff wants him, so should everyone.

Until proven otherwise I fully believe in the talent evaluation (and development) of this staff. They’ve been phenomenal

I personally like his video. Nice length. Plus passer. Looks to shoot well from deep. His handle is admittedly lose but I think that's a fairly common problem.

I think he looks great next to Curbelo or can sort of be a Brandon Paul type lead guard for us as a jr. and sr.

I'm not sure on his rankings slide.

If the staff has scouted him enough and they're willing to take him they get the benefit of the doubt from me. Underwood loves his length at the 1 or 2.

He put up something like 20ppg 5 assists and 5 rebounds per game. I don't have his exact numbers.

From the best I can tell Bass left Hamilton Heights and plays for a brand new prep school, billed as a basketball academy, in Ft Wayne. That would explain why all his videos are a year old.

Looks like maybe he played 2 games with Hamilton Heights before leaving. Scored 21 ppg but shot around 22% from 3. Can't find much about this Elevation Prep.

The thing with Bass and his recruitment is that you have to catch him at the right time. The in-home will be important. What is BU's hook? How does he lure him in?

If he commits, it's interesting the staff is willing to take him so early. I'd say that bodes well for their confidence level in his talent.
