Highly doubt he and Kofi will play on the same team considering he said he wants to play for a team that needs a big. Kofi is a toss-up right now whether he will stay or go, but Boakye is definitely listening to what Kofi is going to do. If Kofi leaves, BOAKYE come to the U of I. I know you are reading this thread rn lol
lol. I read it as you were talking to me not Boakye lol..

and I agree.. he only comes if Kofi leaves.. but After this NCAA tournament. Kofi is gone

I've gotta think an NCAA title will do wonders for Kofi's draft stock. Conversely, if we somehow fail to get out of the first week alive, I suspect that could do wonders for those of us who dream of the Illini having another year with Kofi.

Before our biggest selling point is we play our freshmen. Trent, Mark Smith, Ayo, Giorgi, Kofi and Miller all started as freshmen with Underwood and Curbelo gets featured minutes.

Now we can add championship contenders, great culture and pathway to the NBA (assuming Ayo and Kofi are making that leap) to the pitch.

In the long run, if we can lock in the coaching staff and get the IHSAA to permanently play the tourney in Champaign, we will have it all.

Regarding the coaching staff, Whitman hired Underwood when everyone seemed to want him to go all out for Archie Miller. That couldn’t look any better in hindsight.
That would be quite the feat to get Iowa to play their championships at U of I. I would love it though.

Bass attends Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Tennessee, a school that regularly produces top players. While the forum debates Bass's ceiling (SEA-ling), it's no bad thing to have a link to a basketball factory. See Prolific Prep and Hawkins and Burnett.

Per 247, Hamilton Heights has two 3 stars (Bass is one) and one 4 star in the class of 2022. The 4 star is center Felix Okpara. It also has unsigned 3 star 2021 center Bretner Mutombo (no relation to Dikembe).

247's info is outdated. He is at Elevation Prep in Fort Wayne, IN now.

We need to lock this guy up. Shooters with height are deadly in the college game. This is a 3 pt shooter who actually shoots better than 40% from 3, not a guy that just looks good in highlight videos.
I think you mean Schutters.
