I'm cool with that. And here's why.

If he's entertaining new entrants to the race, it tells me he's not the lock to Mizzou that some have suggested.

I've already made my peace with him not coming to Illinois. I haven't fully made my peace with him going to Mizzou, though. If he's flirting with DePaul, then clearly he's not sold on Mizzou.

My guess: He's been approached by Depaul and out of respect for his former coach, he hasn't said :hand:. But it doesn't mean he's going.

Is this the longest recruiting cycle we've ever had for a class? Seems like it could easily go another month or two before we know what the 2017-18 roster looks like.

Gonna be a long off-season. Always is.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to start paying attention to recruiting, er, stop smoking cigarettes

Could there be an eligibility/qualification issue underlying this delay?

Why would he wait to qualify to commit? That's the tiggerboarders excuse for the delay but it does not compute.

OV's require academic eligibility? Or is it not the custom for a school to host somebody with a question mark? I'm rather unfamiliar to the rules surrounding OV's.

He'd be playing for his high school coach.

yeah & they talk Tuggs into going there as well they would have something. I think they also have a couple other former LaLu players there. So there is enough there for some conspiracy theories, but I would still be very surprised.

Hearing Depaul has now entered the race for Tilmon, and he is intrigued.

To be honest, I just want Tilmon to go somewhere besides Misery. I find their fans especially annoying on social media and would love to see their reactions when he doesn't go there.

He's had an Official Visit with us. To do that he needs certification account from the NCAA.

You need to be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center to compete at an NCAA Division I or II school. You also need to be registered with a Certification Account before you can make official visits or sign a National Letter of Intent in Division I or II.

Tilmon may well go to Missouri, but crystal balls don't mean a whole lot, in many cases. Smith was pretty much on his way to Michigan State until a lot of last minute changes. Knox had exactly zero crystal balls for Kentucky.
I will say, if Tilmon is 100% set on Mizzou, he would have committed already. He obviously is not 100% sure, maybe 90% or whatever, &/or there are indeed questions about his eligibility.

CB haven't changed since the day JT decomitted , but alot has changed at Mizzou. They have 2 ships left, and waiting on young Porter to decide what he doing. Porter was to make a choice in last couple days , according to reports, still nothing. Nothing may happen soon , but it would be good to know something. Sure hate for this to drag out till August, BU said he not begging anyone to come here.:illinois:

Think about it 7 schollies available for this 2017 class. That is pretty insane. And we though we had class balance the last 5 years.
