Think about it 7 schollies available for this 2017 class. That is pretty insane. And we though we had class balance the last 5 years.

I am not to worried about it really, I would guess we use 2 more this year, and have 2 for 2018. the 2 for 18 can still be used on grad trans. I would almost bet we have another next year as well.

So, does DJ transferring hurt us with Simeon players like Horton-Tucker?

For now, the JT situation being resolved would give us an idea what is next. Alstholf in soon , not sure if he's answer but his experience wouldn't hurt. Anyone heard anything about O. Toppin? Think he would be finishing up school soon. He was a late offer but not really heard much about him. OA grabbed him for 1st offers.

I'm telling you, this recruiting cycle is making it very difficult for me to get my head around it. BU is BU! Can't recruits see that and just jump on board? What's the problem?

Seems risky for Tyger... who's next, Jeremiah??
I suppose anything can happen at this point. Depaul
getting 5 star recruits at this point is just nuts. That's the value of hiring family or head high school coaches as assistants. That's what happened with porter, it's what happened with campbell. Id expect Bowen is next since his recruitment has been so wild. He visited Depaul in March & was in the city last weekend i believe.

We'll just see how long that holds up.

His HS coach just got a job at DePaul as an asst coach, and said coach was someone that Tyger really looked up to and helped him out. You're not getting that kid. And he's bought in to "bringing DePaul back." Well, we'll see how that works out. But he's Gorilla Glued. You're not peeling him off.

And yes, aren't we supposed to have top numbers come our way now that we have Underwood? I guess we think more highly of ourselves than others do.

We can't expect our fortunes to turn fast if you have long term goals. Sure, DePaul hired a name, they getting a few cherries to come with , but these kids never played for this coach. Still think we got more goodies under the BU Xmas tree.:illinois:

Yes I am aware of the Heirman hire. That said, there's no guarantee he is there forever and no guarantee Campbell doesn't flip if he gets interest from blue bloods etc., etc. The reclassification to 2018 means it is more solid than if he was still a 2019, though.
