They wont just sit on a scholly if they can find a 5th year who will help, BUT think about what happened with Thorne. NO WAY NO HOW would you let something like that cost you Ayo

It never would cost you Ayo regardless.

I have had the same concerns when it comes to having a legitimate big for defensive purposes, but then I realized that we are probably going to defend in a way unfamiliar to a lot of fans recently. I'm assuming that if we don't have a traditional center that we will be geared towards trying to turning the ball over and conceding a lot of baskets. If we have our big it gives us more options for sure. BU is going to make the adjustments he needs when looking at his roster which is exciting.

What makes you think a 3 or low 4 star 6'8 guy is going to get playing time over those 4? Freshman don't typically walk into the big 10 game time ready, especially when they aren't top 50 type recruits. We need depth but I think anybody thinking that a Francesco B was going to get big minutes his freshman year ahead of these guys, well I am not sure that is thinking it through.

Depth is a luxury at this point. We need bodies. Not sure why you think everything's fine for next year. We're still a year or two away from climbing back into the top half of the B10.

Man, Purdue / Illinois games with those big boys and our fleas would be very exciting. Too bad Swanigan's leaving. Is Haas also leaving or does he have some years left?

He was probably referring to FB. Many people close to the program thought he was a done deal.

I've never known him to be one that would jump the gun and comment like that and be wrong. But there is a first time for everything.

I have been around for a decent amount of years (not nearly as many as some of the Hall of Famers on here), but I'd like to point out that some of these offers are probably correlated with the staff trying to "build" relationships. Coach O and Chin have done recruiting. They've just done it in different contexts (i.e. O with Cal and Chin out in Nebraska)... we all have sizable expectations. Let's let these guys do their thing and have some patience.

Well Depaul sure needs something. They can't continue to struggle as badly as they do while playing in that conference. Something has to happen to get them at least competitive or they can take WSU's spot in the MVC.

Iggy's (Ignas Brazdeikis) game is really polished, scores from anywhere. Not sure how his defense is but from an offensive standpoint, sign that kid up. Just needs to reclassify from 18 to 17.

Our class will be just fine. I've got a good feeling that we will hear some good news on JT here very soon. Mark Smith has been recruiting him hard to come with him and they were wanting to play together when Smith started to blow up. Even took a visit together to see a game. I think JT will come back.

That leaves 2 schollies. I expect BU to only use 1 on an athletic wing. Someone who can develop and is a good fit for system, the guy he goes after may be someone no one would be thinking of, but BU knows what he is after and he will get one.

With the remaining scholly I expect it to be rolled over. However from what I hear the 2018 class will be a 2 man class. Ayo, THT, Finke, Ignas. First ones to commit get em.However if somehow De Sousa wants to come BU would take him of course. If De Sousa comes it would wind up being him and Ayo.

From what i have heard Chin has Ayo on board. List will be cut after EYBL from what I have heard but could be sooner. It will come down to Illinois and Xavier and we all know how that ends in the end.
Hold it Indy ---- didn't you just say a day ago that Badocchi was a lock?
