MIF 16U win 62-55. Solid game for Whitney. They kept the ball in his hands the last 2 minutes and he hit his FTs.

Blast from the past/"Where are they now":

JaQuan Lyle, who averaged double-digits in points each of the past two seasons for Ohio State, was arrested early Saturday near his home in Indiana and charged with public intoxication, criminal mischief to a vehicle and disorderly conduct.

Lyle is no longer a member of Ohio State's program. An OSU spokesperson said he quit the team on April 11.

According to a police report, Lyle was arrested after he punched the front door of a bar he was asked to leave. The 6-foot-5 guard then allegedly also punched a police car.

Thad Matta has lost control of the OSU MBB program?

This also means all 5 members of OSU's top-5 2015 class have left the team.

They've got their numbers all mixed up from what the online program has them as, but the guy who looks like Silvio De Sousa for E1T1 is indeed a beast of a kid who has been rebounding like crazy and has a couple of thunder dunks.
Watched some of Malik Hall - long and fluid, has trouble finishing at the rim due to being a bit on the thin side but he can shoot a three and is a very good dribbler for 6-7. MIF, MS and BB all play later.

Talen Horton-Tucker – 2018 – SF – Mac Irvin Fire
Better buy stock now before it’s too late. Horton-Tucker continues to rise and explode this spring. The confidence this young man is playing with is evident as Horton-Tucker feels he can do whatever he wants on the floor – and for the most part – he’s right. The junior wing dropped 33 points on 13-of-22 shooting. Horton-Tucker appears to get better every time we lay eyes on him. His ball handling and explosiveness off the bounce has hit a new level. An elite slasher, Horton-Tucker excels at hanging and finishing around the rim and in traffic. When you add in his ability to pop off triples, Horton-Tucker is one of the toughest matchups in the EYBL. Remember this name in July as we expect high major programs to blow up his offer list.
Francis Okoro – 2019 – F/C – Bradley Beal Elite
Just love the toughness and fight this kid plays with. He’s only a sophomore, but you wouldn’t know it by his 6-foot-9, 220-pound frame. Simply put, Okoro plays grown man basketball and there are few bigs who truly dominate the paint the way he does. In a win over Team United, Okoro had a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. He was 6-for-8 from the field and also blocked two shots. While he makes his mark with offensive rebounds for put backs and terrific defensive play, Okoro has some skills in the paint. He’s not loaded with tools yet, but there’s a budding finesse in his game as he’s able to maneuver around guards who come in for the swipe and finish with a soft touch

THT again starts the game with a loooong three. Fire up 3-2 over Las Vegas Prospects.

5 minutes in, THT has to sit with 2 fouls. He has 6, Ayo 4 - Fire tied at 10 with LV.

THT seems like the perfect replacement for missing on Goodwin. Both have the winners mentality. THT might be a little better outside shooter and Goodwin is probably the better ball handler, but both are "do it all" guys.

And rough day for Meanstreets. Bol Bol this afternoon, 2018 number 1 prospect 6-11 Marcus Bagley and The Phamily tonight. Bagley just dunked over Finke and Bazley. Game tied at 18.

That's Marvin Bagley -- Marcus is his younger and shorter not nearly as good brother.

Finke finally gets a put-back. After going 0 for 11 this morning and 0 for 3 tonight, he gets one to drop. Hope it'll get him off the snide. THT still on the bench. Both teams trail by 2 or 3 just before the half.

Ayo's hit a couple of 3's and Fire is down 1.

Bagley took an elbow to the chops and left and hasn't been back in. MS ahead 37-32 at half, Finke hit a long 3 just before the buzzer. Fire down 36-35 at half.

whoa - Mike Irvin is so irate at the lack of boxing out by his 'bigs' the refs are laughing during the timeout and you can hear Mike over the background noise. Fire up by 2, THT back on the floor.
MS up by 9. Bagley is back, but really, besides him, it's a pretty lackluster team and he can't dunk every time down the floor.

or can he? No, MS still leads by 10 midway through 2nd half.

Marvin Bagley has been tremendous this evening. Heard that before? Unbelievable traffic rebounder & finisher. As good as it gets in HS ball

But MS has become Bazley's team instead of Finke's. Although Finke has been better tonight from the parts I've watched.

Has been another productive weekend for Darius Bazley. After reopening recruitment, expect for name to be talked about greatly in wks ahead

Ayo living at the line. Rest of team totally out of rhythm, missing everything from open layups to short jumpers. Fire down by 2 with 5 to go.

And the Fire lose by 2.

Mac Irvin down 2 with under 15 ticks to go.. Ayo has (by guesstimation) at least 30.. Didn't touch the ball on the possession.
Derek Piper‏ @DPiperScout 12m12 minutes ago
Unrated quality of a great scorer.. Ability to get to the line. Ayo just hit 2 FTs to go up 1 with 30 secs left.

I have not seen a game of Okoro but have seen some of EJ, but as much as I love JT and what I think he could mean to the Illini, I think EJ is more important. What do you think of Okoro and EJ, Mike , compared to JT

Are we really bringing up this conversation again?! It's ok to compare the style of an nba player to the style of a high school kid. If I say he reminds me of draymond green it means he is a do it all forward you plas great defense. Not that he is a nba champion and all star... people should easily understand that. Or should we start comparing high school kids to other high schoolers that know one has a clue about?

I completely agree with you. And fo the record, I was the first one on here to make the Draymond THT comp [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]. Some people got upset then too.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Family emergency came up (but it's all good now).
I agree with you actually. Potentially they can both be better as collegians than JT. When O'Brien and Henricksen were doing their all-state teams they talked to a lot of people from the metro east area and were told EJ outplayed JT the last two games they had and was going to be a better player. EJ was on their first team and Tilmon on their 2nd team. I've haven't seen that much of any of the three but I have seen all 3 and was very impressed with EJ last weekend. Okoro not as much the first couple times I saw him at EYBL but with Wiseman not playing he's really taken control in the paint it appears. Didn't see what they did tonight except for the first ten minutes, but they both had good to great games this morning. I'm not as good at evaluating players as a lot of people, but MOB and Joe Hoops seem convinced by the people they talked to and that's good enough for me.
Would've liked to have had Tilmon but -- que sera.
Just looked at their stats from tonight -- Okoro 3/14; EJ 5/3 and BB won by 30 points. http://www.d1circuit.com/game/show/17622836?subseason=380949&referrer=3215953

no worries , hope all is ok for you and your family. Thanks for the info as always. Sure would be sweet to get THT and AYO this year and add EJ and Okoro next year, after Smith and DaWill would be pretty good instate recruiting.
