Ha! Yeah, no big deal!

Here's a quick peek at the only Scorpions you'll ever deal with at my house.

Is that guy really any less scary than a stinging poisonous arachnid?

Context. Different use of the word.
Not that I really care, but we have moved on to fire ants on this sight now so........ I agree with your statement that "'overrated' doesn't mean awful". I disagree on a technicality with the saying "You have to be good to be overrated" per my original post. Go :chief:

No new news, I mentioned Tucson 2days ago and we have nice chat going about Arizona. Seems we are waiting to see what happens with possibilities visit for Parker Braun , with no info as of yet on such visit. Maybe no visit to be had? :D:illinois:

Prescott was interesting. Saw a javelina. Also saw a guy with a six shooter on his hip at Orange Julius.

I worked in Phoenix in 1980 at Palo Verde nuclear plant. There were black Widow spiders all over the place, you had to look everywhere before you put your hand anywhere. One of my co-workers was bitten by a black widow while mowing his yard. It bit him through his socks, and he spent 3 weeks on crutches afterwards. When I first moved there I stayed at a KOA campground for a few weeks while waiting for a house. If you went out after dark you had to be very careful where you walked because the scorpions liked to lay on the concrete or asphalt to stay warm. It was sort of like the tombs in the Mummy movies. If you used a porta potty at work or a concert etc. then you had to check for tarantulas first. They were very common in those places. The first time you are sitting down or whatever and one of them jumped across your lap, you became very cautious the next trip to the bathroom :D. If safety is a concern for Braun then I would definitely recommend the Illini to him as the best place to play ball :). Go Illini. Last but not least, we actually had a Gila monster try to get in our hotel. Other than those few poisonous things , Phoenix may be the place to be, just kidding ;)

The University of Arizona is in Tucson. There are none of those critters there as Tucson is a much more beautiful and safer place the where Tempe Normal Teachers College is located.

We certainly don't have Uber mowing down pedestrians down in Tucson like they do in Tempe.

Arizona is the Australia of America, without the redeeming qualities of actual Australia. Champaign might not be the most exciting place, but if you’re not looking to fight for your life vs creepy crawlies, it’s certainly a much more appealing place.

As someone who has actually lived in Phoenix for the past seven years and has explored virtually every corner of Arizona, the crazy perceptions of it are quite amusing and way overblown. I've never seen a black widow here, scorpions are hit or miss but won't kill you, Phoenix is a far better place than people give it credit for, Tucson is the little brother that's a little bit different but tries hard, and there are a lot of amazingly incredibly beautiful parts of this state. There is a good reason its one of the fastest growing states and destination of many Illinoisans. I still love you, though, U of I.

I'll also add that Tucson has a restaurant with some of the best deep dish I've had. Extremely authentic.

Actually, those Scorps might be even creepier:

I am liking our chances with Kahlil Whitney. :D

Hearing list likely to be cut before HS season, possibly sooner.

That would be huge. Can we start the fake rumor that we’re getting Whitney, Miller, and Shannon as an MIF package (albeit Miller a year later), and Shannon is the lynchpin to the whole thing?

Kahlil Whitney is a 2019 recruit, so I don't understand how "cutting his list" before HS season would be news. The vast majority of recruits would have taken official visits by then, let alone have cut their lists?
