2018 Kentucky Forward Mickey Pearson Reopens Recruitment. He has asked to be released from his commitment to St. Louis. No reason given. 6'8", 180lbs. Not a great offer list but …

My specialty is gallows humor, and the last few weeks here to fill a spot with a big has been almost comical. It happens.
I've said repeatedly that I'm ok with this class. It's a big class. It's a shame, given there were many guys who could be here for 18/19 that won't be. Spicy surprising everyone by leaving late, is particularly rough given how thin we were up front. 247 ranks this class 23rd, but again, we get some credit for class size. The important thing to me is that we have some guys with good ceiling that fit. I'm hoping it will be fun to watch these guys, even if the product on the court takes a while to materialize.
BTW, you're taking things at face value, and that's fine. It's an uphill battle IMO to convince an average fan that things are good coming off a 4-14 conference record, with major losses in personnel to boot. Optimism is a nice trait.
MIF interesting
I love the balance we have. Players at all five spots, guys with length, an alpha, lots of upside and apparent fit for the coach's system. Now add the two freshmen in Trent and Da'Monte and you have the foundation for a lot of success.
A fourth 247 CB for Shannon to us today from Chris Fisher FWlittleIW (usual disclaimer hoping to head off any negativity re click bait,etc. because we want whatever good news can come our way).
I was going to make a joke including a dream with a billikin chasing him into an arena and Goodwin recording him, but my inner-Dan said, "No."
Supposedly he gained a decent amount of weight and is out of shape. If you watch his highlights, he is noticeably heavier his senior year compared to his junior year.

ILAD starts early out here in the desert, so I get the chance to let my crazy out often. I've had to browse IL less often lazy because the level of crazy from everyone else was just too much. Still, I'm hopelessly addicted so eventually I always come back.
Also, I have a GIPHY browser extension installed, so I can dredge up gifs pretty rapidly.

We should be scared, KW is big time now. I think he likes us a lot but it's going to be tough. He may be the most important recruit in recent years.

Yep, if Duke offers he's gone.
Judging by what his dad is saying, it’s between Louisville and our Illini. Leaning Louisville.
Specifically mentions it being unfortunate we don’t have any officials to give out and they aren’t sure how they will make it to campus.
