So what’s up with Adam Miller. There were rumors earlier in the week that he could be announcing soon... then Monday.... then Monday at the NIKE store in Chicago... and I don’t think I’ve heard anything since. Anyone know what’s up?

Would proving to Chicago that we dont have to rely on them for top of the line recruits actually help us recruit Chicago, kind of like a jilted lover show you dont need them makes them want you more. Or am i wrong in this thinking.

Something like that. Too many kids feel like UI would be lucky to get them. Need to Male Illinois Cool Again

Two open, Ayo goes pro plus average transfer rate gets you to 4. But I think you knew this.

This feels right, and actually pretty safe to count on. Hawkins and Curbelo take the two opens. Miller takes Ayo’s spot. Obviously, we would make room for Miller even if Ayo stayed, but I think it’s a moot point because Miller would likely back out in that scenario.

Kouma can commit, but I’m guessing he is really a spring decision for the staff if no one voluntarily transfers/leaves the team between now and then. Likely someone will.

Also, I’m hopeful Miller commits very soon, but I would be shocked if he signs before Ayo declares.

If he is a one and done he should be able to outplay anyone on the Illini roster.
A one done 1st rounder might not outplay a lottery pick junior, in my opinion.
But your opinion or my opinion won’t matter.

The question is whether or not Miller would want to play on the same team, at essentially the same position, as his buddy Ayo.

I thought I had read on here that either he or his camp had indicated that he would not

Is Kouma playing somewhere this year? Would he have to sit out in 2020? If he’s at a JUCO maybe he gets his degree and transfers to Illinois in 2021 to be immediately eligible?

he’s at Iowa Western according to Kedric Prince but I checked and his name wasn’t in the box score in their first game so not sure if that is accurate

I believe the rule is we can oversign by one but not two. So, for this scenario, Kouma would have to wait to sign until the spring assuming a spot opens up. I guess if Miller commits but doesn't sign, that would work too. But that seems less likely to me.
