This season couldn't have played out more perfectly so far. We are making noise in recruiting. Just remember, it really pays to play those freshman, having them succeed is just the cherry on the top of that big ole sundee.

This is a great point. How many coaches say they will play freshman and then only give out spot minutes early on?

Underwood said he would play the freshman this year, and he's delivering on that promise. And those freshman are looking good and contributing so far. That's got to be a positive for us.

BU doesn’t have a choice but to play freshman unless he wants a 6 man rotation plus walkons.

But even if he had 8 returning seniors he’d still play those freshmen... They're good

Also any news on Marquise Walker? Hasn't he love Illinois and Dee Brown?

He hasn't really blossomed as a prospect. His offer was obviously from the previous staff, and to my knowledge the current staff hasn't recruited him. We were talking about early-bloomers with Finke, and so far Walker is on that trajectory. He's a talented kid, but doesn't have the size or athleticism to excite college coaches.

He transferred to Curie from St. Joe's after last season, so he'll be on a team that should contend for city and state titles this year. He'll need a big HS and AAU season to get back on the high-major radar.

Edit: Walker not listed as a top-50 player in the Chicago area by Michael O'Brien

EJ Liddell going against Quentin Grimes in Washington right now. Grimes is the real deal and guarding Liddell. EJ is just smooth and has 13 already in first quarter against him.

Ej's offensive game reminds me a lot of Leron. He has a really nice face up game from 15 feet in. Seems like a kid that could do some serious damage in Underwood's spread offense. The fact that he seems to be good friends with Mark Smith has to help in this recruitment. I'm sure he knows Malcolm Hill since he is from Belleville and would think he has talked to him as well. I look forward to watching him play this high school season. Crazy how much I feel he has already accomplished and he is only entering his junior year of high school.

First time seeing him play and I love everything about his game. A young Larry Johnson type player is the only comparison I can draw. Heady, smooth, passes the ball extremely well, and can bang inside. He would be a tremendous addition to say the least. Has 20 at half with Grimes guarding him.

Shittu to Vanderbilt.

Holy crap. If Bryce Drew lands Romeo Langford, we're talking about a Duke/UK type of recruiting class. That will put Mizzou's 2017 class to shame.

Liddell reminds me of Mount Carmel/Kentucky Walker at similiar age. EJ might have a better motor and Walker probably better handlles and outside shot. He is a must get to keep the program on the rise.

Kind of meh, a lot of layups, but the kid is a bull. I have 0 doubts that he'd be an effective 4 in college, and, although that clip didn't show it, his face up game is good enough to play the 3 too.

I actually like Liddell more than Okoro. Okoro is ranked did highly because of his physical gifts: size, strength, athleticism. Liddell is power and skill.

Let's get both.
