Hopefully we can play some televised games with this kind of energy and emphasis, to get some recruits to take notice.

I don't know. Is Burke our totem or is Kaminsky? Or Happ? Bonus points if it was a player from Illinois that we didn't recruit who strikes gold.

Being from Central IL and watching him when he dominated high school basketball. Did IL ever recruit Mike Robinson Jr from Peoria Richwoods? If I recall he was prettt good at PU?

I have only watched highlights on the news and that was against Okoro. He looked the part, but obviously BU and many on this board don’t see it.

What is he lacking that doesn’t translate into a B10 SF/PF? Asking as I don’t know enough about him.

Okoro had a nice game the other night for OU.

Dwyane Wade?
Robbie Hummel?
Luwane Pipkins?
Patrick Beverly?

almost spit my coffee out on that one....gap is approximately 230 + ranking slots apart, now rankings aren't everything, but they are alot more accurate than this comment. No offense, but this is simply not applicable...now if you had said someone in the 100-200 range then yes agreed, but not Top 100 arguably top 50 player.

My point was based on the rankings. The rankings would have you believe Liddell is a lot more talented than Payton, and thats just not the case IMO. That being said, i've never thought Liddell was going to be a star either.

I typically don’t jump in on the rankings discussions/arguments because I think they are only truly accurate for the Top 75ish or so players. After that the 76th through 150 or so are negotiable and after that it is about evaluation and system fit.

That being said, Liddell IS A LOT more talented than Payton in every facet of the game of basketball. If Liddell is 6’8 he is playing for Coach K or Calipari next year instead of tOSU. Payton may be playing in the Big Ten next year and that is only if we can’t find another PF that is better.

So, at the game last night, there was a younger athlete that walked by wearing a MIF Nike coat and was sitting behind the bench... any idea or mentions of who he was or other visitors on campus? I noticed at least one reporter talking to him at halftime...

I’m guessing an Ayo family member? I believe his mom was right behind the bench.

Another note, questioning a player’s ability to play on our team due to skills/measurables is well within the range of acceptable responses on a D1 basketball forum. The board doesn’t need a “filter” for posters saying a guy isnt good enough. Not talking about 8th grade ball here...

If you want to see a board that needs a filter the answer lies at tigerboard.com. 10x more toxic than this fine place.

Jacob Pullen wanted to come here. All Big-12 and Elite 8 for KSU.
Jeremy Pargo was WCC POY.
Jerel McNeal was 2nd Team AA.
