Myan Kiir on official visit to NC State this week end. Big deal here in Raleigh today.

I think many are expending a lot of energy on here about Kris Wilkes. I'm as guilty as others. I'd love to think he's coming to Illinois but I can't think of anything UI can offer right now that IU can't. And Groce's position may be filled by someone else soon. Which is too bad as I like him, personally, a lot.

I hope Crean does a better job this weekend of keeping it 100 than he has in the past.

I bet it doesn't even register at Raleigh, altough BB is a bigger deal in North Carolina. Found no mention of Kiir on any of their NCST fanforums or prospect list. I get the feeling he is not a priority for them.

Mark Gottfried has recruited well since he's been at NC State. They're a high major, ACC school, with a good hoops history. IOW, I think you're selling them way short.

No mention of Kiir anywhere here that I can find. I'm from Illinois and a big Illini fan, and the only mention of Kiir is on the THIS site.

My tailor's nephew is the gas station attendant where Wilkes's gardener gets his gas. Apparently, the gardener happened to mention yesterday that Wilkes made a joke about becoming the next Harry Turtledove if the basketball thing doesn't work out. Wilkes is big on alternate timeline historical fiction. Turtledove, of course, went to...UCLA. Not sure if it means anything.

Late Night in the Phog strikes again. Don't think we have any reason not to accept Marquise Walker's commitment if he wants to make it earlier. Doubt we'll find a pg better than those two for that class.

ps - and just to answer the question I'm sure will come, IMHO, no I don't think Tyger is going to be better than either Marquise or Markese.
