Well let's hope the crystal balls don't change between now and tomorrow night. When that happens, it's extremely reliable. Early crystal balls don't tell a lot. Late crystal balls, and especially late switches tell an awful lot.

If you see one or two guys change their crystal ball from us, I'm not sure it's even worth it to watch his announcement.

Yep. Tomorrow afternoon is when people should be watching the crystal balls very intently. If flips are going to occur, it'll happen when word begins to leak out. And that typically happens a handful of hours before the announcement.

If we go into the announcement tomorrow evening without any flips to WF, then I think we've got this one. If the predictions start flipping over the next 24-30 hours, we're in trouble.

It'd be nice if Ayo retweeted one IL thing instead of exclusively WF stuff.

In a funny way, if I understand 18 year old psychology at all, this is probably a very good sign. Ask yourself what you would do to have a ‘build up’ to your big announcement day.

I would have thought that after Nolley, we would be reminded to take Twitter activity with a grai- nay, a mounta- nay, a planet of salt.

Nolley? Try Elijah Thomas, compared to him it is like Nolley never tweeted in his entire life :D

Ayo has been pretty low key with tweets, people will always read what they want to read on every single tweet involving recruits, but overall there has been nothing disrespectful from him against either school.

Kids will be kids, twitter, instagram, and social media in general, coming from recruits, are probably the worst reliable indicators of anything... positive or negative.

Personally I don’t see how you could pick wake over Illinois in terms of University as well as basketball team but to each there own.

Wake is a very good university and respectable basketball program.

Basketball-wise, it is two programs that have been mediocre/irrelevant at best the last 10 years. Wake fans feel good on the future, but other than a very borderline season (NCAA first four) last year, there has not been much in Manning's Wake tenure to get excited about. As Illini fans, we are excited about the prospect of a new coaching staff, but what really transpires ahead remains to be seen.

One thing for sure, I hope after 3 years with BU at the helm, we would be much further ahead than where Wake is now (after 3 full years with Manning at the helm).

Or, alternatively, he realizes that he has 2 days left to give Wake some love before he says goodbye to them forever. He's a very respectful young man, and he's showing WF respect by retweeting their stuff.

No need to do so with Illinois, as he'll be going all-in with Illinois soon enough.

So if you're stressing out because of tweets, just subscribe to my theory to calm your troubled nerves :D

The Wake board just cracks me up.

“Underwood seems like a very good coach, but it's still only his 2nd year. Danny & company are now entering their 4th and things are falling into place. Wake seems like the safer choice, but when you're young, supremely talented, and very confident, I suppose it doesn't matter where you go. But then why even consider Wake? Why not Ohio State or N'western, who is in a similar place to Wake, or slightly ahead under Chris Collins?”

Underwood’s years at SFA don’t count apparently lol

IMO his retweeting has moved from respect to nut punch territory if he picks Illinois. It's been a lot, and exclusively wake forest.

For the record, Manning is 43-52 (.453) overall and 16-38 (.296) in conference after 3 years.

Supremely talented they are not.

I am going to have to agree. He is really Charlie Browning the Wake Forest Fan Base if he chooses Illinois. It has been a one sided affair from him on Twitter. I don't say that confidently regarding who Ayo chooses. I still think at best it is a coin flip for Wake Forest despite the positive tweets, but it will be a little tougher take now that he has really gotten our hopes up. I do feel like if any fan base would understand the let down of a recruit 'trolling' them it would be Illinois after what ya'll went through.

As has been talked about really for Ayo it is more about his instagram than twitter. Keep believing that this is 50/50 and you will be disappointed tomorrow night.

The lesson learned -- if indeed he picks Illinois -- is that you can't get your hopes up on tweets. There are a lot of reasons a 17/18-year-old kid would decide to retweet a bunch of Wake Forest stuff. Maybe he's insecure about having to say no to them, so he's making up for it by hyping them on Twitter. Maybe he's showing respect. Maybe he's trying to build up suspense and then pull a shocker.

Fact is, we can all speculate, but think back to when we were 17 or 18. Did all of our behaviors employ the most rational decisionmaking? Did we handle everything the best possible way?

I still lean 60/40 in favor of Illinois on this, but not because of anything done on Twitter.
