For those of you who don't know, he had to sit out for the second half of the season because his parents took out a loan from a finance company. He went undrafted in the NBA. He eventually did join the Summer League I think but he wasn't some big shot like he was projected to be.

If anything...Illinois dodged a bullet.

So as painful as that was and people could laugh at Illinois fans all they wanted but it was turned out to be a good thing that he didn't come here.

Illinois will have the last laugh on Cliff. Funny that him and his Dad thought it was a good idea to throw shade at our great University. I forgot the quote the Dad said afterwards, but made it seem like UI was beneath them. Which I thought was comical for him to say or feel.
