I hadn’t really seen much on Washington until the last few days but damn I was impressed. It would be nice to be the team that sneaks in a recruitment and lands a guy for once.

Wood had coaches switch positions so he could sign a recruit?
No, I meant publicly pretending to promote an assistant but really demoting him so he could give the assistant job to another guy.

It seems kind of odd that the NCAA deems certain things are unethical or illegal , but giving a known acquaintance of a recruit (coach, friend, mentor) a job to secure the recruits commitment is accepted practice.

I'm guessing most NCAA employees in decision making roles got their jobs through similar means.

BU will find some players, unfortunately back to spring recruiting. Difficult to maintain momentum when missing out on top targets.

Etienne will change the outlook of this recruiting cycle. If we get him, it really lessens the disappointment. I never counted on Hopkins coming because of UK, but I don like losing Nesbit to Memphis...especially because their program already looks hinky.

This word just does not get enough play. Great word...excellent place for it. :congrats:

I think the Jones to DePaul upset me more

That was in fact the worst. The only thing that made me feel better about how that recruitment ended was that we still had a good chance to land Nesbitt. And the thing that made me feel better about Nesbitt was that it looked like we actually had a shot at Hopkins...and this is why I find myself unable to get worked up about Mac. I think I'm going to go ahead and assume we end up with the 2021 version of Samba Kane and hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Word is Kentucky has interest in Etienne. I have no idea at what level, but they have the luxury of waiting until the last minute to decide.

This is what saddens me. In March Underwood did a video where he mentioned for the first time not being behind in recruiting and it would allow them to be very selective at this point. I can't imagine how fatiguing it is to spend so much time with recruits and to have nothing to show for it.

TyTy Washington appears to be just as good or even better than Nesbitt/Jones/Weston. Get Washington and Mac to go along with Goode and everything is good. Creighton appears like the team to beat in regards to Washington.
