I feel so old.

And showing my age again, I ran across an article about top freshmen this year and Mississippi State has a recruit by the name of Nick Weatherspoon. How can someone with that name not play for Illinois? :)

Or Waukegan's Bill Rucks. Just showing my age
Interestingly, Billy did some Class A assistant coaching in our basketball conference after graduating from UofI. He was a rather massive presence at HS basketball games in central Illinois.

From reading the tea leaves, I'm left with the impression we have the following odds with some of our top targets:

45%Ayo

From reading the tea leaves, I'm left with the impression we have the following odds with some of our top targets:

65% Nolley
50% Ayo (40% Xavier; 10% Bluebloods)
35% THT (The Ayo/THT chemistry thing worries me; should we be targeting just 1?)
30% Condit (Iowa State; Not totally sure I really want him anyway)
15% Castleton (Will end up at FLA)

Others = Less than 15% as things stand today.

I'll bet he was! Big big guy. I played against him in 8th grade. He was already at 6'10 or thereabouts. Imagine our surprise when we walked into their gym and saw this mountain of a boy towering over even our tallest player. But we won anyway. Anyway getting a little off topic

Conditt's Dad tweeting to Griffin "congratulations and welcome to Cyclone nation" and then tweets "great job (Iowa State) coaches".

I personally have no interest in Conditt. He is just too thin. That kid will never be thick.

He is behind Bryan Penn Johnson, Castleton, and Sow for me.

It's interesting that Snacks was in to visit Griffin on Monday night but nowhere to be found with Ayo or THT in either open gym or in home.

I doubt if it is BPJ. Not much activity since his surprise UV. Washington, Oregon State, Baylor, DePaul, and Butler were all in to visit him this week.

I find it interesting that Conditt has identified his decision date as October 2nd, the day after Sow's OV ends.Hmm

I had posted my rankings a while back:

1. De Sousa
2. Penn-Johnson
3. Castleton
4. Sow
5. Conditt

I have seen Conditt play, I can't say I have no interest because it is all relative to who you can actually get, but he is a major project indeed.

Conditt is a project I would really like to have. Fletch and our new system make IL a unique opportunity for him as well. Sounds like he is an Iowa St lean though....we shall see.

I'll go with:
55% Ayo, Nolley
50% Conditt
33% THT, Castleton
25% Sow, Finke
15% Hayes
