Speculation: when Conditt was done with his official, he tweeted Landers to hit him up. After talking, they were both feeling good about Illinois and Landers moved his up to be closer to Conditt's decision date.
But if you're planning to announce during an official, isn't it fair to assume you'd be announcing a commitment to the school you're visiting? Maybe something changes in his scheduling

If you announce three weeks out that you're going to commit (while also insinuating that you're going to keep your visit during the announcement date), you might as well just announce the commitment now.
With that said, I bet the visit is either cancelled or moved up. The visit update news probably just hasn't caught up to the commit date news.
These are young adults, hard to say what he is thinking. We all follow social media for information, this is what happens. Does it sound bad for us, who knows, but ATM Castleton sounds more like a commit , with Conditt still in limbo. This gets crazier as the days go on. Stay tuned.

I don't think its coincidence that Coach OA goes overseas to talk with a 6'6 sharp shooting wing and then someone moves up their announcement date.
I told myself never again until the staff proved it had a track record at U of I. Been burned with my hopes so many times....throwing that all to the wind now. I am buying in that we will get a solid 2018 class!
