Hearing 2018 Montverde (Fla.) Academy 5-star wing RJ Barrett is no longer slated to visit #Michigan

One guy Michigan obviously would have taken had he verballed. Leaves a door open for them to take CC without worrying about losing this guy.

Most of the rankings have Ayo ahead of Ramey. So in all likelihood, we will end up with Ayo and have the better talent of the two.

my take is the euro guy is to put pressure on Conditt, but I can for sure see us taking a 5 man class. If we are going to take 4 why not 5 if he can get good young guys he really wants ? ? ? maybe just maybe we have a coach who wants guys he wants, not who everything thinks he should have

If there's any downside to Louisville's destruction, this is it. Really, really, really hope he chooses elsewhere. He'd make Miznoz a lot more than just a flash in the pan. Kid has time and lots of other suitors, so hopefully he doesn't make a rash decision.

I put this out there on Twitter yesterday and it seems to me that it will likely be only 4, but maybe it depends on the timing? If Illinois has commitments from 2 bigs, Landers, and Ayo, but then THT wants to come, how you can you say no?

Can only over-sign by 1. So, I guess you could have 5 guys 'commit' but at least one of them would have to wait until the spring signing period to put it in writing. (and of course that would mean 2 spots would open up somehow between now and then too.)

Might come in to play also for opening room for THT to Michigan. I'm thinking CC will be in O&B next year. Michigan still seems to be in that spot where they may be choosy and CC wants to be a priority.

You have to take whoever wants to come if you are in a position of need. I believe Brunson was higher in the rankings than Evans. Both were/are college studs. Should we stop recruiting players and be held hostage waiting on a possible?

After Groce's first year we had, I think, 3-4 guys leave the team. Every year it seems we as a fan base underestimate attrition for a variety of reasons. Again, I think a 5 man class is highly unlikely, but not outside the realm of possibility.

We only have 5 returning players + Alstork; so between freshman & open scollies you can put the caveat we haven't seen them play for every position.

Christ... how many visitors VTech having this weekend. Corey Evans says Bacot plus 3 officials including Nolley. They must want free tickets to see Clemson. Atmosphere will be crazy, but 3 visits at once?

I think that was a bit different. Bruce reached to fill that class & we were left with Shaw, Ibby, & Langford that weren't going to cut it and were tying up scholarships , + Henry who apparently didn't want to cut it at Illinois. We will only have 5 returning players left from Groce next year + the 5 freshman of which 3 are clearly Underwood recruits and 2 that seem like Underwood would have taken anyway. Maybe the most vulnerability is that we have 2 - 5th year seniors that could leave, but both are in great position for playing time; so unless there turns out some serious chemistry concerns it is hard to imagine them leaving or being pushed out for unproven freshman bigs.

Maybe I'm guilty of underestimating as well, but I'm not convinced we would sign a 4th for anyone but Ayo

eh? They've been a tire fire for 3-4 seasons. No agency demand for their players. That is obviously changing, but suffice to say that they're not involved in the FBI investigation.

And Romeo. Hope Alford keeps him away from Indiana. Since he dropped L'Ville yesterday, Indiana is trending.
