If there's any downside to Louisville's destruction, this is it. Really, really, really hope he chooses elsewhere. He'd make Miznoz a lot more than just a flash in the pan. Kid has time and lots of other suitors, so hopefully he doesn't make a rash decision.

We should be hoping Kansas gets Ramey. Then it's down to Xavier and Illinois for Ayo (if you believe the recruiting analysts).

But if you read the Wake Forest board, Ayo is all but theirs because USC and Illinois (Underwood) are going to be a part of the corruption scandal.

*USC already is*

No. 5 prospect Romeo Langford will trip to UCLA this weekend.

And Romeo. Hope Alford keeps him away from Indiana. Since he dropped L'Ville yesterday, Indiana is trending.

Something tells me he winds up at an Adidas school.

Big ol' FWIW, peculiar new appearance of a 247 CB for CC to us. Shows as date of 7/15/17, but wasn't there until yesterday. From a Florida Gulf Coast guy, who last had a prediction over a year ago (unless I'm not interpreting right).

Can only over-sign by 1. So, I guess you could have 5 guys 'commit' but at least one of them would have to wait until the spring signing period to put it in writing. (and of course that would mean 2 spots would open up somehow between now and then too.)

Scholarships with the NCAA are 1 year, renewable each summer on July 1. The B1G changed the rule to 4 years in 2014. Five years are not guaranteed (Finke, Black) and expire July 1. The over signing rules apply only to guaranteed scholarships, so technically you can sign up to 6 per NCAA and B1G rules (doesn't matter Fall or Spring) and have until July 1 to get to the right number.

I'm not passing judgement on the strategy, just explaining how the rule works.

Power five schools went to four year guaranteed scholarships in 2015, so all those schools are on equal footing in that regard.

Where's Conduitt on the Rauf commit-o-meter? Likely with multiple sources or unlikely with multiple sources?

So we have three open scholarships for 2018: what happens if Ayo, Landers, Colin, George, and Talen all want to come here? Can we over-sign by two or is someone transferring?

This is a pipe-dream, I get it. But I'm just curious about what actually would happen.

Thanks goes out to @IlliniMBB for coming out to my city and spending time with me

.@george_conditt tells me it was a great #Illini in-home with Antigua & Chin. Coaches laughed & cracked jokes with the family. Good vibes.

There was speculation on here that we never got around to that in-home with Conditt because we felt we had Castleton locked up. Made sense, but this dispels that theory.

Good to hear. In a perfect world, I'd rather have both Castleton and Conditt than one of them + the European guy. Plus, with Castleton going on his Michigan visit, you certainly cannot pencil him into our lineup just yet. Makes sense for the staff to go hard after Conditt again.

just curious for those who have seen George...anyone think GC has quickness (or potential) to play SF?

We can sign 4 people in November. It's also possible that depending on roster movement we could add a 5th person in the Spring. But I think the 5th person would have to be a pretty big get, otherwise we would roll it over for '19.

They would not take a 5th person, unless it was a big name. THT, BPJ just to name a couple. Would really have to be a big fish, lot of good players in '19 that we would love to get.
