Oops. I see at the top Piper is OSU. Scrolled all the way down and he shows Illinois. Either way, we all know it;s OSU.

I know in recruiting it is always the field against you but it got me thinking about recruiting success rate and what are appropriate metrics to evaluate a program. OV close rate? High 4 to 5 Star close rate? Ultimately it is about wins and losses that determine success rate but I bet there is a correlation to be found.

No matter how had the message board statisticians try, there are just too many independent variables that aren't easily quantified in the relationship between recruiting and on-court performance. To name a few off the top of my head: recruit ranking, the coaches' scouting ability, the coaches' development ability, how the recruit was trending, etc. No idea how you'd account for some of those.

I get the variables and how that would cloud picture but there has to be certain metrics we can use to at least make picture clearer.

We need Tshiebwe or equivalent/better the most. EJ is icing on the cake. And we don't really need TS either. We need guys like Timme and Tshiebwe .

I don't think anyone knows where Liddell is going but he gave us a hard look face to face. Respect to him if he comes here for repping his state, it matters to some kids like Brandon Paul who was coming here not matter who was coaching.
