Not sure what part of the STL metro area you live in or where you get your news but to say St.Louis is 50-50 Mizzou/Illini does not remotely resemble the place I've lived all my life sans 4 years in Urbana-Champaign unfortunately.
I absolutely misspoke, I meant Metro-East. I lived in Fairview Heights and worked in STL for years and found the metro east very pro-Illini

Chris Holtmann had an in-home yesterday with Top 50 big man Omar Payne who is also taking an OV there next weekend. https://247sports.com/Player/Omar-Payne-45572993/

Seems like Liddell is still open to all 3, and Ohio State is not going to stop recruiting.

I think OSU only has 1 ride left to give for '19 with Carton and Gaffney committed.

Definitely, something to watch if Payne commits, then I am guessing the pick is ILL for Liddell.

Doubt OSU would turn down EJ even if Payne commits

I agree with goldie. It is heavy with mizzery junk in the post disgrace and on radio and TV.

Missouri shot approximately 100 more 3 pointers than Illinois last year. Martin wants them to even shoot more this upcoming season.

Missouri averaged a little over 24 threes per game. Two senior wings took over 55% of them. Illinois averaged 22 threes. Also, the point was was Underwood's offense, not the number of three point shots.

Whew. Glad to hear that. The New York Times says that for football (and I suspect there's no difference in loyalties for basketball) my old stomping grounds in the 62040 follows the Tiggers 27 percent and Illini only 10 percent. How can that be? NCAA FAN MAP

They basically both run "positionless" basketball, or want to anyways. Jontay didn't play solely as a big which is why he shot the 3rd most 3's on the team. Martin brought in Cornell Mann when he went to Missouri to teach him and the players Fred Hoiberg's offense. It's a selling point he is using for recruiting. Plenty of offense to go around.

Does the B1G let teams oversign by 1 or 2??

From the above article...

Bossi: I do think that the commitments will finally start picking up this weekend and shortly after. But, I want to focus on a recent development.
E.J. Liddell cutting things to Illinois, Missouri and Ohio State and moving his visit to Illinois up almost a month is a big development. I see him as a luxury for Ohio State but for the Illini and Tigers he’s an absolute must-have, and I’m starting to think it comes down to one or the other of the bitter rivals

I don't think Drew Timme has gotten much attention on here but didn't we just have an in home with him? He looks like the kind of guy that would be a perfect fit for this offense.

I think that's probably because nobody really expects him to come here. He'd be just as big and important of a commit as Liddell.

any hints from recruits about commitment timetables?

tOSU with an in home this Thursday w/5* recruit Nnaji. Couple this with the previously mentioned Payne OV and it appears the Bucks have moved further away from Liddell. As OP mentioned in the Bossi article it now appears down to Mizzou and Illinois for EJ.

I'd think Liddell will announce next week or there was no need to cancel a couple visits and move his Illini visit up.
