I was born in the Caribbean so this could be a special season for me.backcourt only: Frazier, Curbelo and Plummer (Padilla has to play, to count)
Good point though, we've gotta be the #1 team in PR

I don't want another Curbelo type "sharpshooter".I like him a lot. Hearing our chances are very good. Another sharpshooter to pair with Curbelo
I wanted him back, sure. Doesn't look like it's happening. So is the minority camp now the one wanting Miller back? Make up your minds people.
Second year Illini Adam Miller has a greater impact for the Illini next season and future Illini teams.
I agree, but I’ll go out kicking and screaming until the very bloody end.I wanted him back, sure. Doesn't look like it's happening.
You think that Kofi returning is more likely to happen tomorrow than damonte? Most likely to least likely (imo):
1) Plummer commits
2) Trent returns
3) Kofi returns
4) New class of 2022 or 2023 commit
5) DMW returns
6) AM returns
Good call. To be fair, Trent was a closer for a rebuild year or two. Theres a few games he dropped huge threes and crazy driving layups to get us back in to a game in the final minutes. He stepped up in games we did and didnt have Ayo. Why wouldnt he start? This is a great point. I also see declaring for the draft and insinuating that he’s returning as creating the conversation for his potential in 2022 draft. Smart moveSo I’ve been thinking for a while that Trent’s decision could be based on Miller. If Hutch is as advertised, it would make sense to have his height at the “3” (I know, positionless, but still). If I’m Trent, I’m not sure I want to come back to not start - and you know if AM comes back it’s as a starter along with Curbelo. Not sure how Plummer mixes in, but seems like a Trent “in” might confirm a Miller “out”. I’m in the camp that has no issue with Miller making his decisions based on what’s best for Adam Miller, and would welcome him back. But if I’m picking between 5th year Trent and 2nd year Miller for one season - I choose Trent, even if it is sentimentally driven.

I wanted him back, but I’m not too worked up if he leaves. If Trent stays and we add someone like Plummer, we’re in good shape. TyTy was my ultimate wish, as I think him and Curbelo would be incredible. But that seems unlikely.
I think we’re a long way from being done assembling next year’s team.

Wow, that's surprising. And telling. No Miller meeting this week.
I can confirm from a reliable source (my friend's father is part owner of a team in the PR Basketball league) that the Illini are well on the way to being must-see TV in PR. He reported some of his friends have watch parties for Curbelo. They are dreaming of the day when he leads the PR National Team for all international competitions. He also says that Padilla was highly regarded in PR youth basketball, so maybe he will make a contribution someday.backcourt only: Frazier, Curbelo and Plummer (Padilla has to play, to count)

Hutch as advertised?? Where? On Loyalty? On Instagram? No chance Trent wouldn't be a starter if he came back, IMO. He's better than Miller for sure, too.
There’s no denying he’d have an impact. I think people are just over the drama. The staff recruited him twice basically already. The first time to get his verbal commitment, the second time to get his NLI...now they have to recruit him a third time? Give me a break. Move on.So is the minority camp now the one wanting Miller back? Make up your minds people.

Guess we are now PR North. I told them they need to find us a Puerto Rican center and we can officially train their next Olympic team.Guess we are now PR North.

Believe he is going to be in town for the ceremony on Monday though...
You’re right sky. The fact that none of his teammates or coaches knew it was coming isn’t dramatic at all. Good lord.Drama? What drama? There's literally been almost nothing said about it other than in here.
You're creating your own drama. We get it already. Again.

If you don't construe what's transpired with Miller (effectively 3 recruitments) as drama, not to mention his portal entry after starting every game and getting ~25 mpg, I don't know what to tell you.Drama? What drama? There's literally been almost nothing said about it other than in here.

I conceded that in the post right above you. I was thinking more about the time since and how it's been over dramatized here nonstop.
