C'mon now....you're really going to take two incidents..one each...and slap a label on these two as "characters" engaged in "shenanigans" while throwing shade at BU and the staff?
Do you think maybe it's more hyper competitive 'heat of the moment' incidents from kids?
Should coaches just ignore every teenager that shows a moment or two of poor decision making? (teenagers? poor decision making? WHAT?)
Do you think maybe it's part of their role to help shape and mold these teens into young men that can make better decisions?
1) I'm not the one who 'labels' the type of players they are building a team with 'character not characters'. BU says it, constantly. 3 weeks later, he adds a guy who was suspended, not just kicked out of a game.
2) Do you throw Mady Sissoko in with these guys too? "Heat of the moment incident"??? Most here still want his head on a platter (go review the last 4 pages of posts).
3) If a sucker punch in a handshake line isn't 'shenanigans', I don't know what is.
4) Payne threw 2 elbows, to the same guy. It looked pretty vicious to me.
5) I said nothing about a coach molding boys into men. Of course that's part of their role.
It's just my opinion these incidents were more than just chippy moments, they went overboard. When a player is on our team, we tend to justify. I get it.
