I would welcome back AM if he wants to come back but on the coaching staff's terms not his or his moms.

Program is bigger then AM.
If he wants to go somewhere else I wish him the best. It will be his loss to leave his guys, his school, his state.

I love the momentum we gained this year and need to keep going with guys that want in.

I'm impatient but still willing to let process play out to see who wants to be an ILLINI

Hopefully Illinois has reached out to Tre Mitchell who played for UMass last season. I know we offered him a few years back along with a number of other teams. Big guy who can score in the paint or at the 3 point line. Sure he has a ton of offers just a guy I have enjoyed watching when he was in the A-10

Podz would be a fantastic addition. I’m hoping Storr decides to reclassify to 2021 as well, he looks good to go

Illinois is in very deep with Mitchell. He is the number target for them at the four.

Mitchell will literally have 75-100 schools of his choice. Rebuilding the roster doesn't take long if you could add a guy like this on. Mitchell and Payne would be a solid 4-5 look. Or Payne first big guy off the bench if Kofi tests the waters and would return.

Illinois will add more depth off the transfer portal. Definitely would land one of the lottery players in it if he would come here.

Kid grew from 6-2 to 6-6 since high school, has demonstrably the best shot release and best vertical on the team, overcame three unrelated injuries, has world class training, seems like a nice prospect; but can't be any good because (a) D-3 transfer, (b) Aaron Cosby and Alex Legion once let us down.
The board seems unusually...mad/argumentative/petty/negative, etc. I get it, we missed on a great opportunity to win it this year. Most likely rebuilding not reloading. I'm pissed too. Kofi is the linchpin to being top 25. We have a long time to find out what happens...and for those who aren't happy with the ranking of our current recruits, check back for re-rankings once they can see them easier on the circuits.

Does anybody know why 247 has podz so much more higher ranked than the other recruiting sites? He’s ranked 72th on just 247, but the composite has him ranked 158th. Why? And which one seems more reasonable?
247 is the best for rankings at this point. Rivals is still pretty decent but they don’t put the same resources into basketball that they do football. And ESPN doesn’t even update their stuff but like a few times a year and Biancardi is like the only guy running it. That’s how composites scores can get wonky sometimes.

Plummer would be a great addition, see him as a replacement for Trent. Seems like a better shooter, but doesn't seem to handle the ball much for a 6'1 player. But undetstands his role as a catch a 3. Highlights show several steals but doesn't seem overly quick.

Possibly with him AC, AM, and Hutch plus Pods can form a solid 1-3 group.
Hutch may have to be the back up PG.

There is a lot of hostile behavior on here about recruiting and IL basketball because NCAA Basketball 10 was the last video game version to come out. Some people are still living in the past and forgot that in reality they can't recruit, coach or win a NCAA championship overnight or win 105 championships in a row :D
