I could see Miller coming back to BU and explaining that he was pressured into making a hasty decision. Perhaps he's gotten feedback from other people he trusts and he now realizes he's unlikely to find a better situation elsewhere. Some on here have talked about not endlessly punishing Payne for one bad decision. It seems like we could extend the same grace to one of our own who has actually worn the O&B.

Can we start tracking percentage of accurate predictions on here like 247 and others do with crystal balls? Most of them are in the 80% and above bracket. Ours are in the .08% bracket! 🍻

We would all like some certainty. We are unlikely to get it. True of many things today, least of all in the context of Illini basketball recruiting.

I hope the door is closed. Don’t want a guy who obviously hasn’t wanted to be here since the start. Good riddance.
Would you say the same about EJ Liddell if he chose to transfer here? Nimari Burnett? Those guys literally have chosen to be somewhere other than here and we've had dozens if not hundreds of posts on here hoping they transfer in. Miller chose to come here twice (verbal commitment and later signed a letter of intent despite some rumors he might do otherwise), and if he chose to pull his name from the portal would be choosing to be an Illini for a third time in which it was not a given he'd do so.

A teenager making a bad decision? Nah, never happens.

Just fans talking, but I’ve seen some Kentucky guys on twitter that are pushing for AM. If he comes back its a good thing, although the chances seem small. I believe he showed some things late that point to a big jump next year.

Speaking of twitter, Miller retweeted a quote that basically said “I would do anything for my mother.” I think he was pushed to make a decision he didn’t want. We will see what happens.

All evidence that I observed this season is that Ace wants to be here and is a team player. It sounds like he went home for the first time in forever and walked into a negative echo chamber that made his situation seem like a turd sandwich. It isn’t, he isn’t, and if he wants back in you take him.

Actually, that's not true. 247 guys can change their crystal balls as late as they want. All of our insiders here eventually drop the bad news before it is actually announced.

Our insiders might be damn well close to 100% leading up to the actual decision.

If I could like this 100x, I would.

We don't even know all the details surrounding his entrance of the portal.

Well said.

Do you also think players should feel the same way? Like, should Jacob Grandison not have transferred to Illinois because we didn't want him from the start?

I'm guessing you are NOT the parent of a teenager. LOL
I'm guessing you don't know what the actual root of the problem is and it's not going away.

You think everybody will just play nice next year and things will get better if Adam Miller isn't getting the fandom people around him thinks he deserves?

Nope.

You obviously are closer to the situation than 99% of us so I respect your opinion, but IF he were to return I would have to think there was a come to Jesus meeting first where it was all laid on the table.

What's this even mean? Every player out there has their own set of circumstances EJ and Burnett have nothing to do with Miller's and why some people don't want him back.

Frankly I wasn't incredibly high on acquiring Burnett after he moved on one semester in. Is that alright with you?

It's a far more complex conversation than just saying "well all transfers should be lumped in together".

And it's not just about the fact he decided to transfer it's how he just went out the back door surprising everyone around him.

Not sure how you trust somebody again after that.

I'm not worried about Miller I'm worried about his mom and MIF continuing to be in his ear if he stays here. This really isn't even Miller. I just don't see them suddenly shutting up and letting him handle it himself.

If Miller wants back, I mean I assume you take him. But he has to know everything is on Underwood’s terms, not Miller’s. I think BU tells him he’s welcome back if a spot for him remains open, but he’s going to continue to fill the roster without him. And leave it at that.
