Looks like we’re getting the Demogorgon, boys!
Its gotta be the shoesHe was. And he’s grown 2 inches since then (at least, 247 lists him at 6’9 out of hs and this tweet says he’s 6’11)
Wait, so we're filling our '22 class with 2 3 star SGs? That's an interesting strategy. Not saying it's wrong. Just maybe a little bit weird, looking at it from the outside, with so much still to figure out for the '21 class/season.
Podz and...Storr?I wouldn't be surprised if we get two non-transfer commits in the next several days.
I understand. It wasn't meant to be a dig at their rankings, more so the strategy of locking up '22 kids before '21 kids. And is somewhat reminiscent of the old Weber strategy of getting guys super early, in this case before they blow up with offers and get fully evaluated.I wouldn't be overly worried about 22 rankings right now a lot of these guys simply haven't been seen enough by the right people.
Heck YES! I don't care where anyone comes from as long as they can play, learn from their mistakes, and represent the university well!I, for one, love the Caribbean pipeline.
Just throwing some heat on his post about hoping to get Storr.
This and I’ll add: even if those rankings stick, this staff has shown a high acumen for scouting good to excellent college talent, and developing it, irrespective of rankings. Griffin, Giorgi, Kofi (was ranked in the 40’s and below Liddell) have all outperformed their rankings, as have guys that have gone elsewhere and been real good (e.g, Shannon at TTU).I wouldn't be overly worried about 22 rankings right now a lot of these guys simply haven't been seen enough by the right people.

Baylor might have one 4 star kid on their whole roster. I understand your point, but fit is a huge factor.Wait, so we're filling our '22 class with 2 3 star SGs? That's an interesting strategy. This. Look at TyTy's rating when we first offered and where he sits now. Our talent ID is first rate. This and I’ll add: even if those rankings stick, this staff has shown a high acumen for scouting good to excellent college talent, and developing it, irrespective of rankings. Even if we don't have a full scholarship grid, it was my go to place to confirm current roster and future roster openings. It'd be great to get something that just shows the current roster construction and remaining eligibility of each player. If this forum doesn't have a current scholarship grid, how will Underwood and staff know when to stop adding players to the roster??
Actually I hope someone is up to the task, but I know it's a lot of work you would need to know a lot of stuff to do it, which leaves me out on both counts.
Unfortunately for us, even if side B isn't being pushed by fans or the media, it seems like it's being actively pushed by some potentially influential voices (which could be even worse for us in the short-term). Maybe the only course of action is to simply ignore it, since we're probably limited in what we can do to directly address it, but negativity coming out of Simeon, MIF, AM's camp, and the families of multiple Mizzou players won't help us moving forward. I think we can overcome these types of challenges, but they remain challenges nonetheless.
rbachhuber = Adam MillerSad to see him/her go. I always appreciated the input and work that went into that grid. Thank you.
Could definitely guard every spot 1-5, underrated recruit imoLooks like we’re getting the Demogorgon, boys!

Hmm I guess this 'works' but it's no where near as pretty.Verbal Commits

Really don’t understand the angst with Illinois kids. 4/13 on this years roster but recruits from around the world. Need to get the players that fit regardless of geography. If family important they will want to play locally so they are close but not like the days when they were only on local TV. Really don’t care where they come. Trent, Kofi, Giorgi, Belo great contributors. Is Simeon mad about THT or is there something else? Sure seems like Chicago is a tough place to maintain good relationships though.
The mizzou noise seem pretty irrelevant to me but what do I know.
Storr will see a significant jump in the ‘22 rankings whenever they are updated. Kid is going to be a very nice college player.
