I don't put much weight into anything ESPN produces anymore though, so take it how you will.
Honestly, I kinda was more impressed with this than anything else BU has done. I'm sure that was an incredibly heavy lift for him but we came out unscathed and even potentially stronger long term as a program going forward. How many programs can say that after so much turnover in both players and staff?
Tbf, it does look like Schutt and Corhen are rated higher here than on 247. Not sure if ESPN always had them higher than 247 though.
Doesn't matter, ESPN's ranking are always awful.
He has proven capability in his initial staff selection, his adaptation of his defensive schemes and now with this new staff. Just don’t screw it up and start losing.

With a Corhen and Owen addition, coupled with Epps and Harris, I will be thrilled with 4 guys in the top 100 coming in.
Add Whitmore or Casey and it’s an absolutely loaded class.
Lose on Whitmore and Casey and you have a terrific base.
There would be a lot of bigs that would love to transfer in and grab minutes with everything else we have.
Regardless, BU can win with that level of talent.

I asked about this after the new Rivals rankings and it got dismissed as Rivals being terrible, but now that the 247 composite has him falling too, I'll try again. Anyone know what they're seeing/not seeing in his game?
To be clear, I'm excited about him and he is still highly ranked so this is not a major concern, but there does seem to be a disconnect between what optimistic fans on here are seeing and what the scouting services are seeing. I'd be interested in the scout/recruting trackers' take on why his ranking/rating has dropped, even if I don't ultimately agree with it. He looked like he was trending upwards to maybe even end up as a top 40 or 30 guy, now his ranking has taken a turn the other direction, so I'm curious. Hoping not to get destroyed on here for this, haha.

Not sure, but I do know that Rivals and ESPN (and maybe 247, but not positive) rank high school kids based on pro potential. Epps is not a prototypical NBA prospect. He is a prototypical undersized guard who lights up the college game for 3-4 years. I can't help but see Frank Mason/Carsen Edwards when he plays. This is likely why you often see kids ranked 50 and below make significantly greater impact over 3-4 years in a program than the top rated kids. All ratings are subjective, of course. If the rankings intended to list kids by level of impact over their college career, I'd have him in the top 25.So his ranking in the 247 composite has dropped 15 spots to 73 too.

Lower rankings stave off the still-whispering suitors.
The only knock I’ve seen or heard on Epps was his height. I think I recall hearing the same things about Curbelo.
