Need someone to replace DaMonte.I don't know... it seems like the staff likes a certain level of that fire. The team plays with an edge and Underwood just hired Frazier who has always had a bit of an edge.

Don't conflate edge/fire with excessive jawing.I don't know... it seems like the staff likes a certain level of that fire. The team plays with an edge and Underwood just hired Frazier who has always had a bit of an edge.
I seem to remember a few technicals from Damonte and Trent for exactly this.Don't conflate edge/fire with excessive jawing.
edge/fire: good
lotta jawing: not so good (you don't want to get the zebras' attention)
Damonte, yes. Trent got T’ed up for yelling “cash” after a made 3. I am not going to hold that against him.I seem to remember a few technicals from Damonte and Trent for exactly this.
If it were actually a real problem with Sencire then it would be quite the oversight to include so much of it in his mixtape. Personally I love all of it.Don't conflate edge/fire with excessive jawing.

Tried that once ended up being a crossdresserKind of like when you see a hot girl at the bar....what's it hurt to go try and talk to her.
MThey already have been. Two guys drafted this year, one a one-and-done at the #12 pick (Primo) the other with pick #35. And they had someone drafted #13 in 2020 (Kira Lewis Jr.)
Think you need new beer goggles.....Tried that once ended up being a crossdresser
I realize that today's game includes a certain amount of jawing or trash talking...but I believe the B10 and other conferences have given officials the directive to clean this up....hitting players with a quick T for making gestures towards opponents and their bench....for me just play the game...leave the jawing to someone else......showing fire and emotion is great but let your play do your talkingDon't conflate edge/fire with excessive jawing.

This. Emotion is great, as long as it isn't directed it at the opponent, the crowd or, God forbid, the refs.I realize that today's game includes a certain amount of jawing or trash talking...but I believe the B10 and other conferences have given officials the directive to clean this up....hitting players with a quick T for making gestures towards opponents and their bench....for me just play the game...leave the jawing to someone else......showing fire and emotion is great but let your play do your talking
I thought it was Cohawk after a rebound dunk, not Trent.Damonte, yes. Trent got T’ed up for yelling “cash” after a made 3. I am not going to hold that against him.

The great ones trash talk ( Larry Bird ). He just needs to do it in a way that doesn't look like he is taunting.Yeah, the only thing I didn't love was the jawboning. I get that there is always gonna be some of that, but he's gonna have to rein it in. And I'm strongly betting he will.
Maybe he's into that and his beer goggles are fine?Think you need new beer goggles.....
Not to get off topic, but remember how close we came to blowing that game after that debacle? And how that all too familiar feeling crept in after UM made a couple of shots? Just a reminder it took BB a few years under BU to learn how to win. I think we are experiencing similar growing pains on the football side right now.
Maybe he's into that and his beer goggles are fine?
growth plates, anyone?Oh good, a blip of recruiting news followed by a philosophical discussion on the merits of trash talk or lack thereof.
The least talked about Top 100 recruit we’ve ever got.
