So Oweh looked like a lock for PSU but then didn’t commit for a couple of weeks and now is looking like he flipped to OU.

The longer Whitmore goes without committing, the better it’s gotta be for us, right? Is he taking any more visits?

It's definitely better than him committing to Nova already, but if anything Oweh is a reminder that if nobody locks it up some other school can always swoop in.

Porters teams defensively if he keeps getting athletes like Oweh to lock in is going to be pretty scary

...and I'm sure we won't be the only program whispering sweet nothings into his ear over the next few weeks.
It's never over until you get a signed LOI. Then you have to hope he shows up to campus healthy and eligible. Then you hope he stays more than a semester. Recruiting has to drive a coach nuts. Of course the multi-million dollar salary is a nice tradeoff.

Oweh brother was announced as a walk-on, he then said he was a committing on CBS Sports last Friday and then later cancelled. It was definitely PSU and then he either changed his mind or something weird happened.

I do think the longer Whitmore waits, it improves our chances. Getting to see this years team and the fans could only help.

Hope you're right. Is there any reason the statement "If he really wanted to go to Illinois then why not commit by now" wouldn't be equally true?
I don't think he meant that he's not interested in Nova anymore, more that he's not 100% on Nova yet and there are a few percentage points of possibility that he could commit here. So I suppose no matter how it's worded, Illinois is still in this. Would be nice to steal a recruit for a change!
