Better 22' sell for Illinois than UK, especially if we have the season the staff is expecting to have. Still worry about G league though.

In addition to what 0440 said, quicker route to the League and, more importantly, less 5 star competition. Taylor will get the spotlight.

Better 22' sell for Illinois than UK, especially if we have the season the staff is expecting to have. Still worry about G league though.

If this is contingent on season, then you're saying a reclass but not an early commit?

I like a shorter time frame for any recruit we're in on strong.

In my opinion, if he comes here, he can play whatever he wants. He's got ridiculous handles for his size anyway. Could be a point forward in the NBA eventually. Being associated with him could reap recruiting benefits for a long time. He's got NBA superstar potential.

I agree that we should play him wherever he wants. I’m just wondering how this impacts the competition for his services? For example, some programs are known for playing/developing big guards.

This is where Anderson comes in.....just look at the names of the guys he has trained.

Just guessing, but I think with him it's more about draft position and NIL than development. He's a clear one-and-done, and will get playing time wherever he goes. If he could go straight to the NBA I think he would.

I think he does prefer to play in college if NIL numbers can compete.....it is an exciting time for Illinois Basketball. Stating the obvious but Underwood was an outstanding hire. In hindsight....Glad Josh didn't get infatuated with Miller or Marshall or guys of that nature.
