the gift that keeps on giving
Exactly why getting players to the NBA matters. I never understand the people that don't want one-and-dones for this reason. Would I prefer a guy like Ayo to a one-and-done? Of course! But the list of guys who can stay 3 years in college and then get drafted and stick around in the NBA is a lot shorter than the list of one-and-dones in the NBA. Ayo is special.the gift that keeps on giving
Just added some cement to his legacy here.
Any highlights available for these games?Epps is better than good:
And he's 6' 3" now, evidently.

Epps is a straight up assassin. He'll need time to become a true 2-way guy but my Good lord does he have a gift to score that rock!
Nojus has been to campus several times but the staff is also high on Dek Brown. He crossed this poor kid outta his will!!
Glowing endorsement for our program and coaches, and Ayo having success in Chicago on the Bulls may prove invaluable when it comes to recruiting Chicago.
I know Epps has been getting the bulk of the attention but IMO Harris looks really good. Good, quick shot from 3. Nice handle, good burst, ability to finish at the rim and good length/hops. And he plays with an attitude! Excited about both of our pickups so far this year.
THE Ohio High School Association, I would assumeHS season. Epps is at a prep school, Combine Academy. They have a very tough schedule. Last two games were against the Overtime Elite team, easily one of the top teams in the country. Epps is even better than I thought and I was thrilled he's ours.
With Dillingham's departure (Donda), Epps has established himself as his team's alpha.
Harris' season probably hasn't started yet, as they play within the confines of the Ohio High School Association (or whatever it's called).
Getting some serious Carsen Edwards vibes.
As long as he is not the ball hog Edwards was. Of course, that was on Painter.Getting some serious Carsen Edwards vibes.
In Edwards' 3 years at Purdue they won at least a share of the B1G twice, made it at least as far as the Sweet 16 each year, and ended the season ranked in the top 15 in the nation each year. Not to mention the fact that he ran wild on us, pretty much every time we played them.As long as he is not the ball hog Edwards was. Of course, that was on Painter.
Side note - I noticed when Ayo & the Bulls played Boston that Edwards is unemployed (Boston and Memphis both cut him).
A little *early but I’ll take it!
I have no data to back this up, but I feel like a lot of the great programs/teams have a core of talented 3-4 year guys that build culture and then an outstanding one and done to get them over the top. I always think of the '03 Syracuse team with this having some guys like Hakim Warrick and Gerry McNamara as a big part of the puzzle, but maybe expecting your one and done to be like Carmelo Anthony is asking a little bit too much...Exactly why getting players to the NBA matters.
