I’m not questioning BU or the great 0440…. But how many 6’5” - 6’7” wings does the team need? Are we just going to have 5 wings who can shoot playing together? Seems to me that Fears is the point guard we will need to replace/back up Belo. Belo can’t shoot, why does the staff feel we need to see that from Fears?
Is Fears really better than Epps?

I've seen Ames listed between 6' and 6' 3". Which he surely is, lol. Anyone know his legit height? Am guessing 6' 3" is aspirational and 6' is an old measure. No shoes debate, please.
No idea on the exact measurements but he looks like he has decent wingspan in his videos. Also a lefty (of course haha), and maybe not done growing. He looks very good.

Works for me, so many mismatches that other teams would have to adjust to.

A sophomore Epps? Almost certainly not. I guess that explains part of the impasse with the recruitment—who would he displace in the backcourt starting lineup?
I could see a scenario in which both start, but probably only in a world in which we don't land Boswell, and Podz's development doesn't go as planned/hoped.

Sounds like a case of premature adulation

He’s much more highly rated. 20s vs 60s. But as others have said, it’s about fit. I’ll trust BUs judgement, but I hate to let such a highly rated in state talent go elsewhere. Especially when he had expressed serious interest in our program.
This was Weber's recruiting philosophy. IMO Underwood has earned a little deference to his recruiting decisions.

Underwood just said in one of his interviews you have to be able to shoot the ball in college basketball today.
