The good news is that after Fletch has a year with him, he'll probably add something like 10% of his body weight in new lean muscle mass. So that means he'd be up to, uh,
Something above 0; maybe even double digits.

Well pretty simple: Trey Pettigrew, Darren Ames, Davius Loury and I could certainly see Darius Robinson playing D1 ball but at a smaller school than the first 3.

Then you've also got 6'10" So Jaden Smith, 6'7" Fr Aleks Alston as well.

Pettigrew is already comitted to Nevada over schools like Penn State, Nebraska, DePaul, Georgia and Missou. Says we offered, but we know how Underwood can be a little lax with offers. Ames is one of our higher priority targets and if we miss on Boswell could be our top target. Loury has an offer from us as well as LSU, Purdue, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, etc.

I think it is safe to say they've got more talent on their roster than any school in the state save maybe Brother Rice.
How about St. Rita?

What's the story on David Roddy? Is he looking at us? He's list at 6-5, 252 lbs. Andy Kauffman anybody?

Roddy has Ron Harper Jr. vibes.

Hawkins, (Roddy), Rodgers, (Grandison), Melendez, Goode > everyone switches on defense.

Did I hear someone say Bryce McGowens could be a possibility?
I suggested he would be a great transfer (no idea if he has any interest) but someone else suggested he would be playing in the NBA

He’s from Minnesota, maybe got currently plays and grew up mixed up?
Well technically Colorado should be Midwest since it is in the middle portion of the western part of the country. 😉. Regardless, he looks like just from stats and size that he’d be a nice add.

Sounds like a very good player. CSU projected as a 7 seed. I don't know why he would like illinois so much to lean there in midseason, with no apparent connections. If he wanted to move up in competition and exposure, why not go portal in April? I don't think so.

Any connection with him and Dainja both being from Mpls area?

St Rita is who I meant, not sure why I said Brother Rice

The best teams in the state are glenbard west and Simeon - both were national top 25 teams this year.

High School basketball is not about the most P5 bound athletes - the best player in Simeon is 6-1 and not going anywhere big but in high school he can really fill it up. P5 offers at younger ages also don’t always pan out and those players may not choose P5 by “choice”. Kenwood is talented, but Illinois basketball had some extremely talented teams this year.

The in state losses by Kenwood were against a Jaden Schutt led yorkville tea, a Whitney young lead with with AJ Casey, and a Simeon team that was ranked top 20 in the country in mid January. There are really talented high school players that size wise don’t translate to the next level, it’s not all just about coaching

I'm not sure if you realize, but you pretty much made the case as to why it's about coaching.

So because an Uber talented senior point guard that’s too short to have high major offers (but is starting to get some) can outperform a team of young players with potential, it’s all about coaching? I’m not saying coaching is irrelevant, but I’m fact checking the claim that Kenwood should be undefeated because they have multiple players with P5 offers. Simeon beat a team with the number 3 overall 2023 prospect and a top 5 2024 prospect. The most talented team doesn’t win every game, even with great coaching.

There’s just a lot of hate being thrown around and not enough respect for what other teams and players are doing just because Kenwood gets the hype and media due to their offersheets.
