I have no knowledge of this recruitment outside of what I read on here, but my advice to everyone is assume he's choosing Arizona and be happily surprised if he doesn't. CB movement doesn't look good at all, but the positive is we can get a jump start on the grieving process. Looks like plenty of denial on here already so we're off to a great start!

Yeah this is not that serious. We have a very good class coming in and recruiting is fluid. Honestly, I would rather have players that want to come here and that will stay here for 3 or 4 years. Not one and done’s.
I disagree, he’s the highest profile recruit we would have gotten in a long time and he grew up in Champaign. He’s a cery good shooter with great handles and he wouldn’t have been a one a done, he’s not the athlete the NBA covers and he’s not big or fast- he’ll be a great college player though

This just sucks- I don’t think we can sugarcoat this one

Lol I'm so sick of us losing out on these top tier players. I haven't been following ILL hoops recruiting long enough as most but just this year there was a lot of hype around Whitmore, Dawson Garcia, and now Boswell.

We'll ultimately be fine but I believed Boswell would have solidified us as a powerhouse not only in performance but recruiting going forward. This one will hurt considering he's not only from Illinois, but Champaign of all places.I won't be getting my hopes up for these types anymore as it's just too painful lol. Expecting for the worst but hoping for best at this point. Thanks for letting me vent/being my Illinois sports psychiatrist. ILL.

I agree with those who say this one will hurt --he looks like a high character guy who's got the potential to be a difference maker very early. Hope the CBs are wrong.

Recruiting top-25 players is always going to be tough with a ton of competition. Glad they're swinging for the fences --you won't get them often, but it's where the program should be aiming.

So, he's announcing on the 28th and today is the 22nd, and there has been 3 crystal balls for AZ............And already the sky is falling crowd has made an appearance.......Look , I have no clue where this young lad is going to commit to , but until he officially announces his decision I am going to be positive that he will ultimately decide on the Illini......

Crystal balls are just that , a prediction by a website .....Maybe they have heard something , but I know for a fact , that young men this age are known to change their minds from time to time.......

Whoever gets him will be happy they did , for sure , as he is very skilled and dedicated to improving himself , per the clips that have been posted here....

Unless he reclassifies for 2022 I think he has a while before he can sign a letter of intent .........recruitment isn't over yet folks , so let's think optimistically and support the staff to reel him in............

JMHO

edit: and yes Michael , that gif was just me doing my usual Tuesday stuff...........................lol

The U of I and Champaign roots makes me even more confused if he chooses AZ. From all accounts, AZ treated him like an average Joe and has no family or history connection. A chance to play in front of his extended family 20+ times a year. Ask Luke Ford and Ayo how important playing in front of family and friends means.

To help ease the time until the decision, I recommend choosing from among these classic Loyalty options: debating the AZ/IL weather; debating the attractiveness of the AZ/IL student bodies; debating AZ/IL weed laws; debating AZ/IL practice facilities; we didn't want him; handlers ruined it; mom likes us, but not dad; players don't like BU; wasn't promised playing time; wasn't guaranteed to be the man; BIG v PAC; something, something shoes; and the always classic "bag drop."

Can we watch the IL/Zona 2005 game on repeat?

I choose to hope this is the false info leaked to generate drama and interest the week before the commitment. We've seen the same play out in reverse plenty of times hearing a recruit is coming to IL and seeing things change at the last minute to the other school. Here's hoping.

I imagine the crystal balls are from folks trying to read the tea leaves of a final visit, going to prep school in AZ etc. As others have said, Kyla is playing this close to the vest. I prefer to put my trust in our sources such as illini0440, LvilleILL and Indy Illini Fan.
