All this talk about him going to bed early, but did anyone consider that maybe he just didn't watch the game and didn't see the result until the next morning?

Early to bed,
early to rise,
makes elite basketball prospect that’s ready to play for a B1G champion!

I have long maintained that fans care more than most (obviously there are exceptions) actual recruits/players. When someone asks "How could a recruit watch that game and not want to be part of this?" Simply put they probably didn't watch it and they certainly don't know the layers of emotions that we as fans have invested in it.

Add on to that most recruits are probably bigger NBA fans than college basketball fans, and that's probably what they're watching when they decide to watch a ball game.

kids like that in high school get up when Loyalty After Dark is at its peak. These kids get up extremely early, eat a nice breakfast, brush up on their studies, then go to school to hit the gym and/or weights and/or study film.

Kid was probably at school practicing, came home, ate, studied, went to bed. The take that he doesn’t care is hilarious.

Thank goodness we have been fortunate enough to have lured a few of the "outliers" into our program to include Ayo, Kofi, Trent and DMW. While they might have aspirations to play at the next level, they still want to be an integral part of rebuilding a proud college program and cherish in the journey along the way! I hope that Goode, RJ, Podz and all of the incoming recruits follow the same path! :shield:

I took it as if the recruit was at the game, which is way more emotionally involving than on TV, especially if you aren't necessarily a big fan as those of us who are on this forum.

James Brown and Morez Johnson play so well off of each other! It would be so awesome to watch them play together in college for the home state team at Illinois! Come on JB! Come join us and let's get this NATTY baby! I-L-L
Would be quite the story line.

I love the Jamaica connection and I’m no expert but that doesn’t look like a Big Ten prospect to me.
I agree. Not knowing his back story though, it could be a case of a guy who has only been playing ball for a couple/few years, but BU and staff can see the potential and want to get in early enough in case he continues to develop like they think he might. If he doesn’t, then he finds himself with a noncommittable offer.
