Kind of disagree, Reeves looks like the type of player we lack. A big guard who can shoot but also drive and create.
Reeves doesn't exactly blow me away as a wow, he's going to make a splash type of guy, but he certainly looks worthy of a scholarship and nice to have a Simeon player back on the roster again (if he is the transfer).
Agree with a bit from each of you. Definitely fills the big ball handler that can shoot from 3 that we lacked this year. I'm not so confident he'll be able to get into the lane as he does in his clips against higher-level defense and wished he popped off the screen a bit more athletically. However, had a great game against Wisconsin and had good games against the Top 3 in the MVC this year.

Has the program made up with Simeon? Seemed like the bridge was burnt over the THT drama. Coach Smith was previously a huge supporter of the program and they have a couple nice ‘23s

Gonna have to do some roster configuration somehow next year. Someone is gonna have to leave unfortunately.
I could be wrong but if I remember correctly we already needed someone who could come back next year (Most likely Kofi, Hutch, or Grandy) to even fit the 3 we already have. So to make room for Skyy or a transfer things could get tough pretty quickly. Again my math could be off though.

If Hutch and Grandy still want to play, I’m in the over camp.
EDIT: Misinterpreted what you were saying but I'll leave it up!
I like Hutch, don't get me wrong, but I think it's time to move on. Grandison however I will gladly find room for. Also Lieb should be gone, so I'd probably take the over on transfers assuming another leaves that we don't expect to leave like always.

I appreciate what all the players have done. But are we the best team next year if BBV, Payne, Lieb, and Hutch leave? If Kofi and Grandy return how many scholarships are available if the 4 people mentioned above were to transfer out? Is it 2? If that's the case, would be nice to grab another big, then we'd have Kofi, Hawkins, Dainja and another solid big. And obviously Skyy would be a huge pick up. I have no idea if my math is right, just curious what everyone is thinking as far as who may leave and what moves make us the best next year. This looks pretty good...

Skyy/Curbelo/Epps
Rodgers/Podz/Harris
Melendez/Goode
Hawkins/Transfer big
Kofi/Dainja

If your second team was Curbelo, Epps, Goode, another transfer big, and Dainja, then you still have Harris and Podz, that team might beat out a couple of cellar teams in the conference. Podz could also replace Epps on the second team.

Of course quite a few of these players can play multiple positions, which is ideal!

There's no way Curbelo isn't going to be a starter.

I'd expect something more like this if somehow everyone stays:

Curbelo/Epps
Skyy/Podz/Harris
Melendez/Goode
Hawkins/Rodgers
Kofi/Dainja

Skyy/Epps/Transfer guard or Belo
Podz/Harris
RJ/Rodgers
Goode/Hawkins
Kofi/Dainja

Dainja can ply some 4, Rodgers will play some at the 4, add in a transfer big as well

And breathe! (sorry if not linked correctly, but TA confirms he will be back.)
Now THAT’s how you put rumors to bed. He can teach just about every other coach in sports a thing or two.
