Think it’s more immaturity and bad choicesThink he's still in a somewhat dizzy state(and maybe more). He needs rest and some away time probably.
Thanks, @illini0440 for all the LAD updates. Love ya, buddy.

Probably.Let me see if I have this right. We have between 12 players graduating/transferring and 18 new players as freshman or transfers.
Keeping with NCAA tradition, waivers for everyone leaving LSU, except those transferring to the UI.. No waiver for youGotta think the NCAA lets all the LSU players play wherever they want next year no questions asked.
It’s the Ncaa we’re talking about hereGotta think the NCAA lets all the LSU players play wherever they want next year no questions asked.
Hope for the best for him and wish it to be in Champaign but seems that may be wishful thinking. But hope whatever team he plays for has less fans who think like this.I think he is suffering from some kind of “mood” issue.
Sounds more like medical/injury....time could help possibly...doubt OA can help with that unless he transfers to Kty.Fair enough. Crazy to me to think how the relationship between Belo and coaching staff has turned so toxic. Perhaps if OA was still here things may have been different? Or perhaps it wouldn’t of mattered. Regardless, Curbleo is definitely a unique player and there is no one else like him in college ball. Sad that it had to end this way.
I don’t think the relationship is toxic. They want what’s best for Curbelo and I think they think that’s for him to get a fresh start somewhere elseFair enough. Man, I feel for the guy. He has injected so much positive energy to the club ever since he started playing for Illinois. I hope that whatever he decides, that he comes out the other side a happier young man.He is struggling with a whole lot more than that.
I guess it depends on how his rehab goes, right? If he still shoots and defends well, why not? The top side is a better version of Goode? So is his rehab going well?
Heard the contact was really really good.

We are not trying to evolve the wrong way. What I saw all year were guards who could not penetrate, other than Curbelo who made 3 times more mistakes than good plays when he got in the lane. Trent and Damonte were warriors, but aren’t the type of guards to get to the next level. Underwood wants to win big. He’s looking for length and strength.
I told my friends all year that Melendez needed to play, and we needed to live with his mistakes. We would be a much better team toward the end of the year if he had played more…that was so frustrating to me. Curbelo got a long leash, but RJ and Hawkins did not!
I think we should learn from past tournament teams regarding the recipe for success…length, athleticism, strength…LET’S GO!!!
Podz over Miller? So Miller coming off ACL surgery, transfers back and immediately starts? Guess I’m having a difficult time seeing that happen unless recovery was one of the best ever. I’d want Prodz over Miller imho.
How much, if any, of this is Curbelo moving on, vs the Illini moving on from Curbelo?I don’t think the relationship is toxic. They want what’s best for Curbelo and I think they think that’s for him to get a fresh start somewhere else
Your insights are much appreciated thanks for doing what you doI don’t think the relationship is toxic. They want what’s best for Curbelo and I think they think that’s for him to get a fresh start somewhere else

We thought Belo does not want to stay but it's more of the other way around?I don’t think the relationship is toxic. They want what’s best for Curbelo and I think they think that’s for him to get a fresh start somewhere else
The guy is going to be the Luther Head of this team, if so.Is Miller going to be happy not being the primary PG?
I want to say this respectfully, while getting the bigger picture in focus. I love AC because I think he's a good guy and he's dealt with some tough stuff. They said, have you watched this tournament? There are a ton of player not only like him, but better. He is exciting, he makes wow plays, but he's also a turnover machine who can't shoot. Houston was begging him to shoot it and that's all you really need to know what other teams think. You can't have a poor decision maker with below average shooting ability playing the bulk of the PG minutes on a contending team. We were not a contending team this year on a national level. We were undersized at every position, but center and we lived and died by the three. Look at the size, length and athleticism of the teams playing. St. Peter's actually has a better guard group than we had. Late in games, they all can shoot, they all can handle the ball, they don't turn the ball over and they all make free throws. BU is a really smart guy and he sees this. There's going to be a complete roster turnover and it's merited. Not sure what that's going to look like, but I suspect it will be quite different than what we've been seeing the last three years. More pace, more chaos, creating more turnovers, more transition offense.....a 180 from what we're used to.Fair enough.
