I don't know, after my seizure this seemed like a sign. What if I told you the board spiraling WAS the second domino?
Care to share your nickname?I went most everyday at Huff and got the second game. I think the games there on center court were way tougher than IMPE most days. I got the second game downs because Mitchell warmed up with a beaded jump rope before he played. I got to know him pretty well and that got to be a routine He gave me a nickname and my strategy paid off because with him on my team we rarely lost! I clearly remember shooting warming up before we played and talking about the Bulls 5th overall pick from a D2 school with him neither of us heard of but he was sure he had to be good. That was Scottie Pippen. Lol Good Times, I'd love someone like Mitchell as our wing.
Well I was white, pretty slow, hustled, hated losing, could pass ok to him and could shoot pretty well from deep so I bet you can guess lol. "Larry" He thought it was funny. No one else called me that.Care to share your nickname?
We’ll, this is the appropriate thread then. Please let us know if you ever find a more athletic version of yourself.Well I was white, pretty slow, hustled, hated losing, could pass ok to him and could shoot pretty well so I bet you can guess lol. Lol headed the wrong direction I'm afraid! We’ll, this is the appropriate thread then. Please let us know if you ever find a more athletic version of yourself.
We will see the number first and I don't think Kofi has to announce he is coming back for two years. It is clearly a year to year decision.Well clearly but with some of these numbers being tossed around for the highest NIL numbers can he earn much more anywhere else other than the NBA?
Do you see a lot of final 4 teams that play that press D? NBA?Supporting players around Kofi compared to freshman Ayo is night and day in comparison.
I totally understand that. However, he's just not going to get the green light to shoot threes in college. If he worked on it on the sidelines, he potentially could show enough in workous possibly to make scouts think he could bang one down if left alone. I think that's all we're talking about with most seven footers. Robin Lopez isn't doing crossovers and step backs from three.Shooting 3's in a workout is entirely different than making them in a game. I bet Kofi could shoot 50% from three in practice with a token hand in his face.
So what is it you are trying to say? I said nothing about changing the defensive philosophy. I must have misunderstood the point you were making in your first post, my fault. I agree the pressure defense he tried to install the first 2 years didn't help us 1 bit. I thought you were saying we would struggle because we have a lot of underclassmen. My point was we were pretty young when Trent/Damonte/Tev were freshmen/ sophs when we weren't getting wins yet but our younger players this go around are much better. I think we may be young next year but we have the talent to still be a 20+ win team. Especially if we land Shannon and Kofi stays.Do you see a lot of final 4 teams that play that press D? NBA?
No, because it's value is as a bum slayer or change of pace. IL has had top 35 D's the last 3 years and has recruited to their defense...why fix the aspect of the program that's not broken?
Utah?Kofi is not going to play in the NBA. Watch the NBA, nobody has a 7 foot center that cannot shoot 3's. He may as well get his NLI money and return for another year.
Kofi did just fine -- or rather, great -- on the pick and roll last year. But that was running with a certain Chicago Bull's guard, Mr. Freakin' Ayo Dosunmu. That single set was the foundation of the entire offense last year. And those two fellas ran it brilliantly. It was such a shame the offense never gelled enough to do proper pick and rolls with Kofi rolling to the basket. If Kofi had softer hands, that play would be 100% undefensible with Plummer and Grandison stretching the floor

By the end of the season last year, Belo was outstanding at feeding Kofi (and Ayo and ...). It's not Kofi's hands that were the problem this year, it was the guard play. For various reasons, they just couldn't bang it out with Kofi this year in the way that we say over and over again last year.
Too many newbies on the board recently doubting your sources. Can we just appreciate the insider information and not run you off the board again? This place is a lot more fun with you in it!Does Discussion between the appropriate parties involved count as credible?
How do we know all of this about players meeting down in Chicago like Kofi? The key is Kofi went. He drove. BBV went to.

He did not have the personnel to run that system. We will next year.BU lost a lot of games trying to play this way.
